Earthquake Possible Ping.
PING!
Yikes, can we come and stay with you and Mr.B?! :)
Been A PNW quake watcher for a decade.
Was assistant to an attendee of lectures on OSU Marine Biology ...
Most unusual swarm ever in that time period and we are in the historical “due to slip zone” time era give or take five decades.
Correct me on the time if wrong.
Anybody know if this includes Florence, OR?
I’ve got friends that live there. I wouldn’t mind if my friends wife was gravely injured in an earthquake there, she’s a big “liberal” Dim nanny fascist. She wouldn’t permit meat in her house because it would “change the energy” of the house. Don’t get me started.
LOL
Sure!
I will take your word on it. What sort of tsunami potential does this area have?
what does bttt mean?
bump to the top
The swarm is to many miles out and magnitudes to small to be felt on land.
The one 2.6 off the coast was close enough to us that if it had been a 4. plus it would of shook me while on the toi toi.
Has in the past twice and yes was on the A.M. sit when it hit.
We have wonderful freind south of us down in Florence (we are Newport).
Please wish Justice in the grief you suffer from your person of interest. Better MoJo targer. : )
Hugh.
On the bay were we reside our lil curve (nitch) is the only spit out of the zone.
This swarm in my hobbiest long term (20 yr) watch mode is a self significant Hmmmmm. IOW Jmo.
NOAA held a full blown tsunami test last week around Humboldt Bay. Many low lying areas a in Eureka have been inundated in the past according to core samples collected by the USGS and Humboldt State. Professor Lori Dengler is a noted researcher on this area...
Here is a interesting/scary site... http://www.humboldt.edu/~geology/earthquakes/rctwg/papersandmaps.htm
Yes.
The core samples done here on the Yaquina Bay and up stream is the seminars we attended over the years that gave the guess work for time lines and the intensity of past huge tsunamis (catastrophic).
I know when Eureka gets it we are in line for the left overs.
Seems Eureka is placed where the brunt hits when the bells and whistles go off up in the PNW.
5.2 Earthquake just hit in the swarm.
Biggest one yet...west of us.
Still 150 miles out to far to feel on land.
We would of felt that had it been within 100 mile zone.
Hmmmmmm.
Here is the link.
