If it's Carly, her baby will be born with tattoos :)
I am having fun but now I want money.
Like I said, red state viewers will eat that song up. I love the song too, but I believe Kristy chose it for that reason, not patriotism.
She'll be safe this week.
You're talking to the wrong person ;)
BTW, I'm laughing at your tagline :-D
I heard rumors that Randy Jackson was one, but who knows he could be Obamafied now. Simon strikes me as a libertarian sort.
I hope that all Americans will eat that song up.
The top 5 songs from the year I was born:
1. (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, The Rolling Stones
2. I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch), Four Tops
3. Wooly Bully, Sam The Sham and The Pharaohs
4. My Girl, Temptations
5. You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’, Righteous Brothers
Care to take a guess at the year?
Regards,
Ya know, I don’t see this as a big deal - Ryan did mention that it was Cornell’s version prior to.
As you said earlier - practically a carbon copy of Chris Cornell. That’s flippin’ awesome, IMO - Cornell’s in my top 3 of rock vocalists.
Oh hell. I want to hear monchichi sing “You are my brudder forever”!
(((melts)))
I must have had a relative up in the front row...
My thoughts - After a debacle last week, I was dreading this week. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised - but it didn't start out that way...
Ramiele: A couple of times, the very beautiful Mrs. Lobsta and I were wincing in pain. Supposedly, Lobstas aren't supposed to feel pain, but that's pure B.S.!
Castro: [puff] Oh, man... [puff] did someone just sing something? [puff] damn, I forgot. [puff] Hey, let's go hit the chinese buffet [puff] Eff Taco Bell, man.
Syesha: What? No Puppies? Damn.
Carlton: It sounded great... but it could have used a little more cowbell.
Brooke: 1-claw deduction for the flub - otherwise, this is when tonight's show makes a turn for the better.
Brooke's Mom: Smokin'!!!
Michael: Don't sing Queen again. You dodged a bullet there.
Carly: The post office called - you need more postage. Song oughta be banned, anyhoo.
Monchichi: You're SEVENTEEN!!! Aren't you supposed to be rebellious or something? You seriesly need to grow a pair and stand up to your a-hole father.
Kristy: Like others in trouble for the past 232 years, call on the USA to bail your cute butt out of a jam.
Cook: For the first time this season...
Bottom Three
Eliminated: Ramiele (Batting leadoff = kiss o' death)
I'll check in tomorrow after the show - don't forget to tip your waitress!!!
I am so renting that costume one day...
LOL! Great review.
Sometimes I'll listen to Idol while in another room, and I've noticed what a difference this makes.
#1 on the day I was born (April 25, 1965)
Mrs. Brown Youve Got a Lovely Daughter - Hermans Hermits (US)
Ticket To Ride - The Beatles (UK)
Mrs Brown Youve Got A Lovely Daughter - Herman’s Hermits (AUS)
Oh, well, one out of three ain’t bad :-p
Archuletta?

My rankings overall (change from last week)

4- David A (—)
5- Jason (+1)
6- Carly (-1)

Notes:
Kristy Lee Cook (God Bless the USA) Yes! She finally does a vocal I like, and to a song I love. Her best performance BY FAR in this competition. Still room for improvement, but I cant complain. Might save her for another week. Itd be a shame if she gets voted off on this song, but then it would give us another opportunity to hear it tomorrow.
David Cook (Billie Jean) Wow. Not digging the start, kick-in perks up the performance. Weird. Original (OK, so he tends to borrow less-known covers). Still not my cup of tea, but brings a different element to this competition and seems to be assured of a record deal.
I’d pick Ramiele to be cut with Kristy Lee surviving yet another bottom 3 scare.
I think David Cook and Michael Johns were the best tonight. I predict Carly gets the boot, Ramiele and Chikezie join her in the bottom 3. I didn’t know Carly was pregnant but I did notice the horrible blouses week after week. Those shots of her hubby in the audience were gruesome. Top 4 I think will be Brooke White, Michael Johns, David Cook, and David Archuletta (in no particular order).
*snort!*
Agreed totally with most of your assessments, Lobsta... but I have to add that Michael Johns is the most overrated “cute” singer since Bobby Sherman. Guy’s got NO top notes. I was counting as I watched him — in two of his high notes, he did that dramatic thing of holding the mike away from his mouth (like oh, yeah, he’s going to wreck the mike with the strength and power of his awesome high notes — I think not!), one note was changed to a lower one that he could actually reach, and with the final one that he couldn’t otherwise disguise or run away from, his voice cracked. Aargh. I can’t believe Simon never calls him on this. I guess Simon sees the dollar signs posted on that “hot” Aussie forehead.
And I couldn’t have been prouder of David C. if I’d invented him. Nailed it, absolutely nailed it. Crossword-puzzlers of the world, unite! :)
Thanks for writing up a great summary so I don’t have to attempt it! I’m going to bed now! :)
David Cook was best tonight. Other than him, it was just lots of mediocrity this show.
Ranking them:
1. David Cook(by a mile)
2. Chikezie(thought it was fairly impressive vocally, but that style is not going to get him very far)
3. Carly(didn’t think she was as good as she usually is, but on a night like tonight, it was probably good enough)
4. Syesha(skilled but she still bores me)
5. Kristy(may be digging out of the hole she’s sung herself into)
6. David A.(nice voice but a boring performance)
7. Michael Johns(agree that his voice has some limitations. May do well if he lasts to Neil Diamond night)
8. Brooke(song is a bit creepy and didn’t match up with Brooke at all)
9. Jason(wearing thin)
10. Ramiele(tried too hard tonight and tried in the wrong direction)
Who should go: Ramiele(she doesn’t seem to be growing)
Who will go: Probably Ramiele. Possibly Chikezie(he’s back to that old, moldy style that almost got him booted early)
Two thoughts:
1. I wonder what tattoos baby will be born with.
2. Anchor baby.
