I don’t know...perhaps he is hosting a focus group in his living room. I hit mute after that comment.
LOL! I caught that replay. Like someone was stepping on her toe.
My Sister - in the front row.....
I have noticed that, too.
I think the comment was more of a marketing commentary since Kristy pulls from the country/Americana audience.
I wasn’t wowed by it but I think with some time and real work she could make a career of singing.
Well that's disappointing. Not sure how I feel about that!
Veeery interesting. Reminds me of the Chris Daughtry, “I Walk the Line” controversy a few years ago.
The Stars of Dance number on dwts was great.
I just caught that one. LOL!
Thanks!
Thought I recognized her. ;)
I just saw the show and Kristi definitely had a good performance. She’ll be back.
I even liked it better than “I Walk the Line.”
Probably because I wasn’t a fan of the original Michael Jackson song so he really rocked it up!
Well...I’m outta here!
Night all!
Those dancers were FABULOUS.
Perhaps, it was just a wish on my part that Simon like me is appaled at Jeremiah Wright’s comments. I think that he might just be, something about the way that Simon made his comments made me think thusly.
back to your taxes? I’ve already got my refund and will get that generous rebate on May 9.....
Watch out when Paula starts making excuses for you, Ramiele.
True. That's almost as damning as the "I like your dress" compliement :)
Ramiele was the worst of the night.
On to the rankings :
1. David Cook - Billie Jean - This will go down in Ido lore as the signature moment of season 7. This was just flat out amazing. David just left monchichi Archuleta in the dust and became the no doubt head and shoulders above the rest leader.
2. Michael Johns - We Are The Champions - Great performance that now pales in comparison to David Cook's tour de force. Still this was Michael's best performance since Light My Fire, and was absolutely great.
3. Kristy Lee Cook - God Bless the USA - A cook sweep tonight. By far her best performance of the year, and now she gets to have one in her wheel house next week with Dolly Parton mentoring COUNTRY WEEK.
4. Syesha Mercado- If I Were Yor Woman - The last 2 weeks she would have been in the top spot with this performance, but I am worried it is going to get lost in all the other great performances that came later in the show. this is Syesha's style and she sounded fantastic.
5. Chikezie - If Only For One night - I thought Chikezie sang his heart out on this and put everything he had into the song. I loved it!
6. Carly Smithson- Total Eclipse of the Heart - I liked this, and thought it was perfect for Carly, but I agree with Simon and Randy, there was just something missing, and the last note was horribly beyond painful.
7. David Archuleta - You're the Voice - This is such a nice song, let's all hold hands and sing along OOO OOO OOO OOO OOO OH GOD WHEN WILL IT END!!!!! David has a nice voice, and sang well, but this song sucked majorly polluted canal water, and no amount of david cutesy cute could save it.
8. Brooke White - Every breath You take - This was good, but just there. Kinda nice, kinda boring. Brooke did nothing to advance her position this week.
9. Jason Castro - Fragile - Another nice slow sweet Jason Performance. YAWN!
10. Ramiele Malubay - Alone - It kills me to put Ramiele here because I really like her, but facts are facts, this was not even close to the level of the other performances, and is 3 weak performances in a row. Ramiele honey, you are cute as a button, but start packing your bags.
WHO SHOULD AND WILL GO - Ramiele. She will be joined by jason for sure, and probably Brooke. But Chikezie and Syesha may need to sweat as they have not shown voting strength and thier performances while very good got lost in the big voices at the end. David A has no chance of bottom 3, so I will say Brooke, jason, Ramiele -- bye bye Ramiele.
Love that song.
