Are you talking about the chocolate upside down pudding cake? Brown sugar, white sugar, baking powder, cocoa, nuts, flour - and you put it in the pan, then pour hot water on it?
YES! I want the recipe! I used to make it - but lost the recipe, and have been craving it!!! ;-)
Yes, we are interested.....shouldn’t be but are!!!
That’s the very one! Absolutely love it. I don’t make it very often, for obvious reasons! That, hot out of the oven and some vanilla ice cream... Drooling here
Have to find it. Cooking supper now, give me a bite...I mean bit!
Ha! Found it, and I’ve got a minute!
Hot Fudge Sundae Cake
For cake, combine:
1 cup sr flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 1/2 Tblspns cocoa
1/2 cup milk
2 Tblspns melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
Spread mixture into lightly greased 9” square pan.
Topping:
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 3/4 cups hot water.
Sprinkle cake batter with cocoa and brown sugar, pour water over all. DO NOT STIR! Bake at 350 for @ 40-45 mins. To serve, cut into squares and invert. Top with ice cream and scoop remaining sauce over all. Enjoy!
This is a great recipe to take if you’re invited to eat at a friend’s house and you’re responsible for dessert! The water can be added when you get where you’re going and it bakes quickly, like while you’re eating dinner!
Of course, being a chocoholic, I seldom measure the brown sugar and cocoa anymore! Did I mention that I really like chocolate?! LOL
Oh, GG, thank you! That is the ONLY recipe I don’t dare make when I am alone. (Once you take a bite, you can’t stop! Honestly, I could eat the WHOLE thing!!)
We are back from the shelter and the ice cream parlor. We went to Baskin Robbins. I had Jamoca Almond Fudge with hot fudge. : ^ )
Did you say that you are addicted to chocolate? Marissa had chocolate with gummy bears. ; ^ )
She picked an adult cat. He still needs to be neutered so we can not pick him up until tomorrow. He was soo cuddley when she picked him up. He stole her heart.
LOL
I thought I was replying to this post but I think I replied to an earlier one. Oh well .....
I’m not sure that hubby is alergic.
Hubby loves animals but he was never allowed to have animals in the house when he was growing up. After we were married, we had puppies and dogs in the house and he accepted that.
I think the big problem with kittens/cats is they can get on anything ..... Stove, table, counter, fish tank. Marissa always brings the kitty in for awhile before school and again when she gets home. On weekends Milo always asked to go out after an hour or so.
I talked to the lady at the shelter; she told me to keep a water hose close and anytime he went toward the road to soak him and he would become so afraid he should stay off the road. We will give it a try but will still lock him in the garage at night. We have coyotes but have never lost a cat to a coyote (As far as we know.)
Good afternoon, Kitty Mittens. Aren’t those baby swallows cute?
Marissa would swear that God answered her prayers when he sent Milo. It was a couple of weeks after Sassy disappeared. She had asked a dozen times for a new kitten and I kept saying later. Hubby saw a kitten on the road and thought it was Sassy so he called the kitten and called Marissa. Milo walked up to Marissa and put his paws on her legs as if asking to be picked up. She obliged and he was perfectly content. It was hard on all of us to lose him.
Today she picked an adult cat. She opened the door to the cage and picked him up. He was very lovable. She said .... “This is the one I want!” I kept trying to get her to look at a couple of younger cats but there was no changing her mind.
She asked the lady at the shelter if they were going to kill the ones that didn’t get a home. Now that was a tough one to answer. The girl looked at me and I told Marissa they would go to animal heaven. The girl tried to explain about too many kittens and since there was no one to love and take care of all of them, they were in a better place. Marissa kept asking about this one and that one. The girl told her she felt sure someone would adopt them.
She told me to tell you that she is going to name him Kitty Mittens. I had told her about Fang-Face and she asked if Angel-Face was a good name.
Don’t do too much .... take time to enjoy “Chocolate Caramel Day”.
I think I should save that picture .... I thought it was so sweet.
I had ice cream with hot fudge ... I skipped the caramel today. : )
Sounds wonderful ..... I saved it!!
Thank you, I copied it to an email and will print it out! It sounds wonderful and very fattening! I will just beat the calories out of mine..LOL~~
I am going to lunch Easter day at a friend’s and I wondered if I should try a new recipe. What do you think?
Aw, Kitty Mittens. That is a wonderful name..........(and a very special poster!) Love it!
Don't do it. The flavor and texture just aren't the same online.

I ate it before I received your warning...ooops!
That Sounds Good to me! : ) I'm Like you; I Love a Clean House, but with Taking Care of the House and Doing Yard Work, etc, the Help would be Nice! : )
Perfect, if you ask me! It goes good with ham and mashed potatoes! It goes good with pretty much anything! LOL
That would have been a Hard Spot to be in when Marissa Asked about the Fate of the Kitties that wouldn't be Adopted. :( You and the Lady at the Shelter Handled it So Well, Better than I Probably would have Done.
