I've had a busy day. The reunion lunch was great.
We will do it again in June.
Now ... Mr Mittens update.
I was very discouraged this morning.
It doesn't seem like he is improving as fast as I had hoped.
He is still sneezing. Drinking water but not eating.
He still rattles and his nose runs.
We fed him his supplement about 4:00 this afternoon.
I planned to feed him again about 8:30 or so; at 8:00, he was at the door crying.
When I went out to feed him, he went to his dry cat food dish and
sniffed it but did not eat.
I think he just like the supplement. ;^ )
I may need to go to vet and buy another tube.
Good night all.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Amy, I feel so bad for you and your poor sick cat. I had so hoped that he would have shown signs of improvement today. I pray that tomorrow will be the day that he takes a turn for the better. Keep thinking positive, Amy. You are doing everything you can for him.
Good night. Glad you had a nice lunch reunion today.

I thought it was encouraging that he was crying for me to bring his tube of dietary supplement to him.
Hey .... where’s dinner? After all ... today is Respect Your Cat Day!

The medicine will help him get better. Please don’t think you should be doing more - Kitty Mittens knows (probably for the first time in his life) that he is loved. It is probably shocking to the little guy!
He’s going to be fine - just give it time. And keep loving him. Bless his heart, and bless those of you that love the lil’ guy! Wait until he is better - he’s going to keep you all running your booties off!

I’m sure he is better. He is so much more alert. When he hears the dogs in the back yard, his ears perk up. He is also doing a little more exploring in the garage, tho he still spends lots of time in the bed that Marissa made for him.
I will be so happy when Marissa can really enjoy him. It is not easy to cuddle and play with a sick cat.

I think Mr. Kitty will show you all how indebted he is for making him better. Cats somehow know what is going on - and he will be a lifetime companion for Marissa AND you!

Chinese Interpretation of Swan Lake . This is incredible (make sure you watch the whole thing, ) worth the 7 minutes. The first ballet I performed solo was the black swan in Swan Lake. The music has always been beautiful to me.
This is a video of a performance of a Chinese ballet troop in Germany. The two principal dancers in the second scene are simply awesome. That word "awesome" is overused, IMHO but HERE it is very appropriate

This troupe really is amazing--a mix of ballet and acrobatics. I've seen Swan Lake and the Shanghai Circus acrobats before, but this takes each to a new level.

Something Electric
Theres something quite electric,
A thrumming in the air,
Be still, and look, and listen,
A humming could be there.
They dart in for a dainty sip,
Before the eye can see,
By the time youve got a focus,
Theyre off to another tree!
The hummingbird is magical,
His art is so refined,
A kind of nectar for the heart,
And blossoms for the mind.

See All Evil
It is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. Ephesians 5:12
While waiting at the doctors office, I read an article about the importance of freedom of speech. The writer suggested that producing obscene movies and pornography is good because it helps us to see our own potential for evil. He believes that naively thinking we are innocent is worse than knowing about and watching evil.
This rationale for evil is disturbing, especially for those of us who follow Christ. God doesnt expect us to avoid all contact with wickedness. JesusGod in the fleshloves sinners. But in the book of Ephesians, Paul said: Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret (5:11-12).
Our responsibility is to expose evil by living a life of goodness, righteousness, and truth (v.9), and by not taking part in the unfruitful works of darkness (v.11). Hendriksens New Testament Commentary says that the conduct of believers as children of light exposes the deeds of those in darkness and reveals the vast contrast between the two.
Its not realistic or wise to hide in a holy cocoon. But we dont need to see evil to understand our propensity to sin. Expose the darkness by living in the Light.
Lord, keep us from entanglements
That choke Your Spirits work within,
So we can then reflect Your light
Into a world thats dark with sin. Sper
Children of the light will not be comfortable in the dark.

The Richness Of Humility
Neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:7
She lived out spiritual humility, yet she had much on a human level to be proud of. As an author of over 70 books and a translator of many others into Afrikaans, Annalou Marais had much cause to bragbut she was more concerned about honoring Christ than advancing herself. She worked behind the scenes of the Bible conference, doing a servants tasks with a smiling face and a joyful heart. It would have been natural for her to desire, and even deserve, the spotlight. Instead, she quietly served, joyfully weeping as God worked in peoples hearts. It was an impressive humility, because it was completely genuine.
I have heard it said, It is amazing what can be accomplished when we dont care who gets the credit. This is certainly true of Christian service. Paul told the church at Corinth, I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase (1 Cor. 3:6-7). Paul had learned that great lesson of the servants heart, as Annalou has learnedits entirely about God. What we do is accomplished by His power and grace, and all the glory must go to Him. It was a lesson in humility watching Annalou, and one that reminded me of the richness of serving God.
God often uses lowly things
His purpose to fulfill,
Because it takes a humble heart
To carry out His will. D. De Haan
Pride and grace cannot dwell in the same place.
