I admit, I am not very well-read when it comes to poetry.... Amy's Place encourages me to explore poetry.!

I have to admit I'm not all that well-read either, but often find pleasure in shopping for suitable poems.

However, I'd be remiss if I didn't express my gratitude for your kind words as well as your extensive contributions to FreeRepublic over the years, not the least of your accomplishments being the fine graphics you have produced for Amy's Place. Clap, clap!

Well...Mr. Barack Hussein Obama says “there are no RED states and BLUE states, there’s only the United States.” Ya know he seems to think he knows ‘everything’. Or so he tells his crowds. Of course, I don’t believe that any more than I believe the rest of his conversations.......(I know, this is not for politics~~LOL~~..I just couldn’t help it!) The devil made me do it.

Thank you. Sure, you could learn to write haiku. I will never be very good at it, I think I create better graphics than I do haiku. LOL. But, it's still fun, and no one here will criticize anything you do. This is all for fun and friendship and, as a bonus, maybe we learn a few things along the way. We love having you here, jaycee.

Thanks! I haven’t even tried to write a haiku since I was in grade school. :) That one popped into my head last night after we were in bed. My pc is in our bedroom. I didn’t dare turn my puter back on and wake hubby—I was jsut hoping I could remember it til daylight! LOL

The wonderful graphics by MamaBear and Billie encouraged me to search the poetry sites for poetry to go with the graphics.

Then NicknamedBob found us and my job got easier. : ^ )

That little boy looks like me at the library! Where to start?! When I was little, we only got to town about every 2 weeks. I used to cry because the librarian would only let me have one of those big paper grocery sacks full of books at a time!
