One thing that is really bothering me is that the inquest jurors won’t have the vantage point of having seen ANS’s behavior and her interactions with Daniel thru the years or knowing the machinations of Stern (and Anna, too) as far as promoting her in bizarre ways to the public.
It just seems like some of that should have been touched upon in the overall background of Daniel’s case. I just don’t feel like Daniel is really being represented in these proceedings.
That was when Rale was trying to make up excuses for Anna’s meds being in Howard’s name, before we really knew they were.
I hope the detective and Martino show up. Wonder why this was put off until mid March.

Bondy's death is another one. Dr. Brown was tried and convicted in California of murder for a botched operation in Mexico. I know this is not as clear cut since Bondy died in California. However, the charges against Dr. Brown were for what he did in Mexico.

I don’t get why Serville was harping on “Stern” being the one that GBen was having to negotiate with about Horizons.
While it’s “true,” only because of HKS’s over-involvement in Anna’s affairs, HKS literally had no standing whatsoever in the ownership of Horizons - never did, never will.
Serville is using this to try to portray HKS as a resident there, as a responsible person, as the homeowner - and none of it is true. It’s just to add another little spin on things to sway the jury. Bleecch.
And FWIW, small point of correction to article: Daniel wanted to stay at the hospital with his infant half-sister “Hannah Rose” who wasn’t named Dannielynn yet.
Yeah, you’d think they’d want to “get ‘er done” while Birkhead and Stern are on-island for the big gravestone shindig next week!
BTW, just saw a promo for “tomorrow’s” Access Hollywood (which will be shown *today* everywhere but here). They showed Tony Potts in Nassau and said “one year after Anna Nicole’s death, we bring new interviews and details on the whereabouts of Howard K. Stern.”
I’m thinking a chocolate milk shake would mask the “bitterness” of a load of ground-up methadone tablets.
I think we were mostly thinking of Cokes being in those drink cups (and the jurors may be thinking that, too, unfortunately) and that thin, watery cola drinks probably wouldn’t mask the taste or consistency.
OTOH, there wouldn’t be much of a chance of a milk shake still being a milk shake at 5:30AM, left from the night before. Oh, wait, I guess it could have been from 1AM or whenever the last proven food run was.
(I still haven’t figured out the two-trip-story nurse not showing up to testify - and more importantly, why the guy who checked the surveillance video didn’t watch it past that time! He was even asked on the stand and said it wasn’t he who checked it after that. And no one questioned him further! As in, “well, who did?”)
P.S. - It really looks to me like Munroe has gotten to a number of witnesses.
ET gets slapped down by Billy Bush from Access Hollywood regarding video of Heath Ledger doing drugs from 2 years ago.

Billy Bush of Access Hollywood has gone after Mary Hart of Entertainment Tonight. Robot Entertainment TV host war! Billy is disgusted with ET for almost posting a 2-year-old video of Heath Ledger allegedly doing cocaine. ET has since announced they won’t show the video out of respect for Heath’s family. Here’s what Billy wrote on Access Hollywood’s site:
I don’t often comment on our competition, but because we have so much of it in the “entertainment show” genre these days, we are often lumped in a group together. The fact is, we’re very different, and that stems mostly from the difference in scruples of the respective Executive Producers.
”Entertainment Tonight” and “The Insider” ran a promo tonight for their Heath Ledger drug use video, which they “reportedly” (love that lawyer enforced word) bought for a couple hundred thousand dollars. A still frame of this video which shows Heath apparently doing cocaine ran on the east coast feed of “ET,” but on the west coast feed, the tasteless still shot was replaced with a shot of someone’s feet (Heath’s, I guess). The voice over by Mary Hart had not changed, however. She still spoke of the incriminating scene and still promo’d the full video tomorrow.
Yes, the still shot was just a taste. Tomorrow is Day 1 of the sweeps ratings period.
Gross. Totally gross.
Billy goes on to post the statement ET issued saying they won’t air the video. Billy goes on to say:
Heath Ledger’s family has not even had the chance to bury their son. We know he had problems, but this kind of salacious opportunism is poisonous.
I struggle with every type of borderline exploitive material. I’m a constant pain to our Executive Producer as I worry too much that things go too far. Ask him.
I am shocked that Mary Hart would read this crap. I know her and she is a very nice lady, but its clear to me she’s “checked out” of that place, basically taking whatever they put in her hand and reading it with the same excitable veneer you’d expect to hear at a 50’s sock hop.
Mary gets paid a lot of money. She must have the clout to say ‘no.’ Their Executive producer used to run “Hard Copy.” She doesn’t hit the brakes for anything. But Mary, you are the June Cleaver of entertainment news; this cannot be OK.
Let’s see how long the outrage lasts.
Wow! Billy is so f*cking catty. Who knew he had half a brain cell. I have to hand it to him. They probably put that statement on teleprompter and he read it to someone else who transcribed it on to the website. Those entertainment show people can only speak with the help of a teleprompter. It’s Mary’s turn to respond! The producers are putting her response on teleprompter right now for her to transcribe it to the webmaster.
Mary better watch her fake *ss. You know who Billy is related to. He can’t wait to send his army after her *ss to confiscate her weapons of mass of destruction.

Well, I sure didn’t know that, either. I can’t stand to watch the little twerp - he seems like he’s a 12-year-old.
Now, having said that, I was pretty amazed at a couple of stories he has done recently that I actually watched - heh heh, now I can’t even recall what the subjects were - but he was incredibly respectful of some older people and knowledgeable of historical facts.
I was totally surprised at how he handled whatever it was (wish I could recall!) and formed a somewhat better opinion of him. But, I still can’t stand to watch him, lol.
I must have gotten the East Coast feed of ET, because they showed more than just a still of Ledger at the Chateau Marmont.
It was dark and shaky footage and I wasn’t really paying much attention to it, but the shocking part (if indeed he was doing drugs with these people) was that the folks who were in the room with him were total strangers. He was asking them where they were from!
I believe this was supposed to be during a visit with Michelle to L.A. and she was somewhere else in the hotel, in their own actual room. The HL video was taken in some other room in the same hotel. There were allusions to the Belushi death in the voiceover, of course.
ET makes me sick. And yet I sometimes watch. And yet I sometimes even tell y’all about it! *through the looking glass I am*
I think tea or lemonade was the “presciption” Howard fed Danny. I wish they would ask the nurse who drew Anna’s blood at 5:30 if Danny was drinking anything while she was in the room. I don’t believe he was in her bed at the time...but a few minutes later...he was...and sound asleep. Very clever Howard!!

I wonder if The Bahamas has special tropical juice drinks like you can get in Mexico - sandia, watermelon, canteloupe, mango, guava, guayabana, pina, tamarindo, jamaica flor, stuff like that. They’re in with the regular soft drinks.
Maybe an exotic flavor would be so different that a person wouldn’t know there was something added to it.
I suppose the good doctor gave no opinion as to what else was in Daniel's stomach - hamburger, fries, strawberry shake, etc. Like Daniel decided to eat and then kill himself?

Tried just now to see if I could find anything on the Esso On-the-Run website that might state whether their Nassau stores had any local specialty drinks, but that’s too specific for what they list.
I’m thinking even a plain old fruit punch might also be a standard fountain drink that would have enough flavor to cover up some pills being added.
Sure wish we knew what had been in those go cups.
Kinda like the Florida deal where maids where no hotel employee was allowed into the room that week.
Saw the absolute strangest thing on the TV tabs last night.
Access Hollywood had a segment on the inquest. Most of it was an interview with McCabe, which was fine. He was able to give his point of view that Daniel’s ingestion of the methadone was intentional, but he was not suicidal, so that leaves homicide as the manner of death.
Then he said how odd it was that HKS, who is only a witness, was seated at the counsel table with all the other attorneys. (This made me mad.)
But then, after all that, Tony Potts talked about how there had been a question as to who owns Horizons. And I quote ... “G Ben Thompson, Howard Stern or Anna Nicole Smith.”
Say what?
Then it got worse. He stood out in front of the closed gate to Horizons and said ... “That’s Stern’s car parked right there (you could see a car thru the openings of the wrought iron) ... you do the math.”
So, he’s saying that Stern OWNS Horizons? How bizarre!
