You know - I'm thinking Anna really did suspect something might happen to her - because of the way Nanny Gibson described Anna's comments to her about "if anything happened to her she should take care of Dannielynn." Nanny Gibson would not have a motivation to lie about this I don't think - cuz when she said it she seemed like she really thought or knew more than that - she didn't seem to imply that Anna would be committing suicide but more that Anna was worried or maybe had a promonition or an uneasy feeling or somtehing like that. I think Anna didn't commit suicide for many reasons - would she go to dance lessons while feeling low for an event to be held in a few days if she knew she was going to kill herself. The suicide thing is part of the illuusion that one of the posters on this thread keeps alluding to, The Stern camp wants us to think they were worried that Anna maybe committed suicide - and are relieved to find out that is not the case.
If what OQ says is true - that Daniel asked his mom for $$ to check out Stern - then that probably really had her thinking. For the PI's story to be true - Daniel had to have told his mom what the $$ he wanted was for - else how would Howard have been onto him? I wonder if Howard intercepted a message or if Anna blurted something out about it?
Plus if you add in Ford Shelly's comments about taking Anna's stuff if anything happened to her - it really adds up to Anna fearing something. I've gone on vacations, and had surgery and never have I said to anyone - "if anything happens to me..." Most of the time I think people just assume that nothing will happen to them.

I think sod said that there is no 5th amendment right in the Bahamas. If that is the case, and he tried to not answer he'd be in contempt. Of course, he could answer the questions the way Barfbag answers questions...
That is a very good point. The PI said that when Anna called Daniel to tell him about the baby he said "can i come mama?". So they DID talk before he came. So he probably did tell her about the PI and the need for money at that time. Something like "mom, you've got a new baby. you gotta get this guy outta your life. he's bad news. I know a guy who can check him out and prove to you that he's no good."
I had an staph infected abcess on my spine in 1988 from a back surgery. Cipro must have been fairly new then because it was given to me once I was released to go home and it was very expensive at that time.
From my own experience, the abcess in her buttocks being pierced that day or several days before would not cause her fever to go that high that fast. It would take time to get into her blood and cause the sepsis to spread. Either she had it for a while or the methadone withdrawal is looking like a good possibility.
I was in the hospital for a long time and went through alot so I know about abcesses and staph infections. I never bought their explanation on that point.
Sure. That probably caused the fever too. But that doesn't preclude that she was being detoxed which probably would've exacerbated the situation.

i think the detoxing began in the Bahamas. They had to clean her up and it was gonna take time. And she appeared pretty clean and sober when she arrived at the HR. Apparently she walked in without help. So the needle prick that caused the infection could've been one that was done some time ago.
I don't think the ending will work out quite the way Howard wrote it because it was based on him being looked at with sympathetic eyes...A man losing his lover, his friend, his wife...and assuming the care of her little child.

The doctor said the antibiotics worked and her temperature never rose above 100 degrees after that. It did not have anything to do with her death. he said that if she had gone to the hospital, her drugs would have been controlled and she likely would have lived.
Sure hope that the reason HKS is last on list to be called at inquest is part of some Bahamian strategy.

But wasn't it said that the injection that pierced the abcess was done the day she left for the Bahamas? She complained on the flight that her rear hurt and by the time she got to the HR her fever was 105? If so, I don't believe the abcess caused the fever that fast. The methadone withdrawal theory is sounding pretty good to me right now. :)

Yes and somehow reconcile some of the inconsistent statements. And have you seen the Chief Mag who will be presiding. He made a comment to Greta something about "people want to know why a boy comes to their island and dies within hours". He seemed very suspicious himself. Wonder if Sterns people will ask him to recuse himself. I hope they tell him to bring it on!
The fact that it was changed IIRC, BY LAW, to a jury instead of just a Magistrate tells me there is SOMEONE in the background...fighting Howard...a hidden player.
The Magistrate that was tossed..It was because of comments she/he made to the press apparently.
Do we know for sure exactly where that last injection before she left the Bahamas occurred? I dont' think so. The injection could've occurred days prior but the pain in the rear didn't manifest right away....
