You know - I'm thinking Anna really did suspect something might happen to her - because of the way Nanny Gibson described Anna's comments to her about "if anything happened to her she should take care of Dannielynn." Nanny Gibson would not have a motivation to lie about this I don't think - cuz when she said it she seemed like she really thought or knew more than that - she didn't seem to imply that Anna would be committing suicide but more that Anna was worried or maybe had a promonition or an uneasy feeling or somtehing like that. I think Anna didn't commit suicide for many reasons - would she go to dance lessons while feeling low for an event to be held in a few days if she knew she was going to kill herself. The suicide thing is part of the illuusion that one of the posters on this thread keeps alluding to, The Stern camp wants us to think they were worried that Anna maybe committed suicide - and are relieved to find out that is not the case.

If what OQ says is true - that Daniel asked his mom for $$ to check out Stern - then that probably really had her thinking. For the PI's story to be true - Daniel had to have told his mom what the $$ he wanted was for - else how would Howard have been onto him? I wonder if Howard intercepted a message or if Anna blurted something out about it?

Plus if you add in Ford Shelly's comments about taking Anna's stuff if anything happened to her - it really adds up to Anna fearing something. I've gone on vacations, and had surgery and never have I said to anyone - "if anything happens to me..." Most of the time I think people just assume that nothing will happen to them.

That is a very good point. The PI said that when Anna called Daniel to tell him about the baby he said "can i come mama?". So they DID talk before he came. So he probably did tell her about the PI and the need for money at that time. Something like "mom, you've got a new baby. you gotta get this guy outta your life. he's bad news. I know a guy who can check him out and prove to you that he's no good."
