Posted on 02/08/2007 12:39:03 PM PST by kcvl

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

Anna Nicole Smith's Exes have started settlement negotiations
Posted on February 26, 2007 (EST) http://news.sawf.org/Gossip/33997.aspx

~SNIPPET FROM THE ABOVE ARTICLE~

According to TMZ.com, the two opposing parties started negotiations. No other details have been confirmed.

Debra Opri, Birkhead’s lawyer, did not confirm the settlement on Sunday yet she did say that DNA testing must be completed and paternity established before any settlement could occur.

As of now, Stern refuses to give a DNA test and wants to retain custody of Dannielynn. He is apparently been willing to give Birkhead custody of Dannielynn so long as he gets what he wants.

Stern wants ongoing control of Anna's estate and, once the estate is probated, continued involvement by becoming trustee for Dannielynn

Yes, Beth Karas is just as good as Jean. And in fact, in some respects i like her better because altho she tries not to, she is sometimes obvious about what side she's on and who she beileves. Whereas Jean tries to play it straight down the middle. Both have their styles and i respect them both. Nancy Grace if ok by me but tends to be too repetitive. Lisa Bloom, waaaaay too liberal.

I keep thinking that HOWARD had a vasectomy a few years back and has now had it reversed and waiting for the sperm count to get up there. (that fits the clever will, too)

I'm trying to catch up after several thousands of posts, so may have missed Hugh Hefner's response to Anna's death? Any official statement?

Yes, I wonder what the significance of March 4th is?

I can see that too. Even with Eva Gabor saying it (the Green Acres star) I have a made up pic somewhere of our daughter's face on the phone pole doing the Eva Gabor phone-calling thingy. LOL

Anna would not have ran off with Thompson. She would married him for money and kept her lawyer nearby and who knows maybe they would have killed Thompson off or waited until she could get a hefty divorce settlement.

Thompson has money - he drop $900,000 on that house in the Bahamas. He is probably not a billionaire though.

"Virgie would have to get a passport"

Someone - I forget who - stated that it is uncommon for a US citizen to be buried in a foreign land against the wishes of family members.

Would someone tell me how Milstein can make such a stupid recommendation on behalf of Dannielyn vs. the mother who gave birth to ANS.

At least up until September 25, Butler Funeral Home was planning to ship Daniel's body back to the United States, as Entertainment Tonight so handly reported for us right here.

Uh oh. Wasn't ET supposed to be on HKS's side? The contract and all. Guess that deal is out the window now that the star of the show is gone. And especially since everybody seems to be thinking that HKS did something REAL bad here. What's the point of having inside access to HKS? Everyone knows he's lying. ET's better off talking to Birkhead or anyone else. At least they're more credible than Stern.

Smith's mother asks that Seidlin's ruling be overturned

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. Lawyers for Anna Nicole Smith's mother have gone to court today in Florida, asking that last week's decision on the control of her remains be reversed.

On Thursday, a tearful Judge Larry Seidlin gave the attorney for Smith's infant daughter the right to decide her burial plans. The attorney said Smith should be laid to rest in the Bahamas, next to her son.

On Friday, Smith's estranged mother filed an emergency motion asking the judge to reconsider, but he didn't immediately rule. That prompted today's appeal by lawyers for Virgie Arthur.

She wants her daughter buried in Texas.

The attorney for Smith's five-month-old daughter says Smith's funeral won't take place before tomorrow.

Yes, the day she died.

"5:20pm] TMZ received a statement from Playboy founder Hugh Hefner:

"I am very saddened to learn about Anna Nicole's passing. She was a dear friend who meant a great deal to the Playboy family and to me personally. My thoughts and prayers are with her friends and loved ones during this difficult time."

Hefner famously purchased the Westwood crypt where Marilyn Monroe is entombed. Monroe was the first Playboy Playmate. Anna was Playmate of the Year in 1993.

Heck, i live in California. a $900K house don't impress me much. But if Thompson has so much money, why wouldn't he push Howard out. "That's the deal honey, you want my money, Howies gotta go. We'll bring in our own lawyers to fight your case."

I haven't seen much of this Thompson guy, but if he's a millionaire than he shouldn't be too intimidated by the likes of HKS.

Even without Stern being clipped his sperm count would still be way lower than his IQ. (I have to keep this clean - but you know he probably had a huge investment in ANS Playboy magazines - he probably had a fresh copy each time he met up with Ms. Rosy Palm.)

What the hell kind of deal is that. It says....I didn't really want the baby....Just the money. Boy, if one of Stern's Attorney's is saying this, they are really, really stupid.

That's my point. ET is and was paying HKS and ANS for their story, and reporting their "exclusive" side of the story.

That was back on Sept 25, and neither HKS and ANS knew that where the burial would take place would EVER become such an issue. So they had issued statements that Daniel's body was going back to the states.

Kind of flies in the face of the argument that "Anna always wanted to be buried in the Bahamas, doesn't it?"

"that ebay auction is a hoot."

Weird, huh? I was googling for a picture of Thompson, and that came up! I'm curious, too, what March 4th means if anything. I looked up recent items being sold by that person on ebay, and they're all cheap cowboy hats.

Now he/she's into auctioning off domain names that have to do with ANS, but isn't having any luck. Perhaps the message is all hype to make the bidding look more interesting. Another person trying to ca$h in!
