Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

Yep... and he would have had her in rehab also if she was pregnant with ol' man Marshall's baby. - To him it would have been a pot of gold growing in her womb and not a baby. But I believe both of them were working together. I also believe that Anna saw this baby as a pot of gold due to her trying to get Thompson to believe he was the father and even after he told her he could not be the father she still tried to get him to sign off on the birth certificate but he refused, so Stern was her only other option because she feared Larry would take the baby away from her. Why the hell she never thought Thompson would do the same is beyond me unless once again she only saw the child as being a pot of gold and she hoped Thompson would marry her and take her word that it was his baby. She thought she had Thompson wrapped around her finger like she did with ol' man Marshall.

Gibson Hires Prominent Attorney To Clear Name

Former Immigration, Labour and Training Minister Shane Gibson has reportedly retained the services of a top multi-millionaire U.S. attorney to help clear his name in the ongoing controversy involving the late American celebrity Anna Nicole Smith.

It is understood that Mr. Gibson hired Florida-based attorney Willie Gary, who reportedly earned his reputation by representing little-known clients against major corporations.

U.S. reports claim his $500 million verdict against a Canadian funeral home company still ranks among the highest jury verdicts ever awarded.

The Bahama Journal has learnt that Mr. Gary is preparing a lawsuit for Mr. Gibson, who is expected to sue an international media house for what he claims are scandalous and libellous remarks.

According to a well-placed source, plans are also underway to sue Callenders and Co attorneys Michael Scott and Tracey Ferguson as well as The Tribune newspaper.

The news daily recently published photographs of Mr. Gibson and Ms. Smith on a bed in warm embraces – both fully clothed. The former cabinet minister has insisted the photographs were innocent, adding that photos were also taken of the former playboy playmate and his family.

The published photographs, however, resulted in international headlines suggesting that Ms. Smith used sex to obtain permanent residency in The Bahamas.

There were also allegations that Mr. Gibson accepted a Rolex wristwatch in return for fast-tracking Ms. Smith’s permanent residency application. The former minister has vehemently denied he had a sexual relationship with the American celebrity or that he accepted any gift in exchange for favours.

The whole controversy developed when the ownership of the Eastern Road home – Horizons – where Ms. Smith lived, was challenged last year.

Mr. Gibson told the House of Assembly that Ms. Smith qualified for permanent residency because she bought a home in The Bahamas valued at nearly $1 million.

Carolina developer, G. Ben Thomas claims to be the real owner of the $900,000 waterfront mansion.

Amidst the ongoing furor, Mr. Gibson announced his resignation just over a week ago, insisting that he never abused his ministerial office by granting Ms. Smith any permit for which she was undeserving or for which she was not qualified under the laws of The Bahamas.

Ms. Smith died on February 8 in a hotel room in Florida. The cause of her death has yet to be determined.

I think the entire "we've got to hurry" is a crock. Who even knows if Anna wanted an open casket? How did that even become a consideration in the case of custody of her body?

At least up until September 25, Butler Funeral Home was planning to ship Daniel's body back to the United States, as Entertainment Tonight so handly reported for us right here.

Whatever the plan was, it got cooked up right then, IMHO, because the very next day, Sept 26, HKS claimed to be the father on LKL.

Interesting idea. I never thought of it that way. Never followed the Thompson thing and didn't realize how wealthy he really was. But what would HKS gain if Anna ran off with Thompson? Wouldn't he be thrown out with this weeks trash?
