I like black licorice, but the worst thing I ever tried in Denmark was Black Peber Licorice (Black Pepper Licorice), and black licorice with salt.

There's a hard candy company in Denmark that sells hard candied black licorice, and inside is a pinch of black pepper.

Me neither. I found out about Nutella from this strange roommate I had years ago - she was very into English tea and introduced me to any number of goodies I'd never heard of, most of which are available at Cost Plus.

In non-Nutella news, did you have a good weekend, BigSky??

Well, that sound just wonderful. < /sarcasm> LOL

Why on earth would they even call anything like that "candy"?

My Finnish daughter just loved the licorice she brought over from home, but it was so salty I couldn't eat it.

You know, if it isn't chocolate or something wrapped in chocolate, it isn't candy, IMO.

I'm with you on the chocolate - keep the skittles I'll take the m&m's!

I only tried the salty licorice once. My brother in law loves that stuff. I then came up with a philosophy, "if he likes it, it's not good". LOL

I agree about the chocolate though. I love chocolate, especially dark chocolate, even if it has a little bit of liqueur inside, it's pretty good.

Not too bad of a weekend here. I stuck to mostly scraping the hard snow off my front walk and deck, and spiffying up the house.

I've heard that if you crave sugar (& chocolate), you crave affection. If you crave carbohydrates, you crave comfort. If you're angry/irritated/anxious, you might crave crunchy snacks. Any truth to that for you?

I dunno. LOL. I crave a little bit of each. My favorite crunchy snacks are like a bag of microwave popcorn, or several handfuls of trail mix.

Yes, now pass me those chocolate-covered pretzels.

:-) Yummm!

They even come in dark chocolate now.

Darn! I do NOT want to have to make a run to the mini-mart this time of night. :-(

I don't know about the sugar the crunchy stuff, but I am a carb addict. Potatoes, pasta, bread......Yes, it is all comfort food to me.

I was craving the affection over the holidays, and carried on a bit with a bag of peanut butter Kisses, but that mellowed out. Today I did pick up some Poppycock, which I'm sure you know is awesome.

I make those at Christmas time with white chocolate. There is just something about the sweet and salty together that is irresistible. :-)

Very easy. Nothing to it. Just melt the chocolate and dip the little mini twist pretzels so that they are half coated lay on waxed paper to "set" and you're done.

Now that I think about it, I don't think it is white chocolate. They are melt-able candy discs made by Wilton and some other companies, I think. You can get them in different colors, but for Christmas I use white, then sprinkle the coated pretzels with green or red sugar crystals. So easy!

Wow, sounds like a fun activity to do with my 11 year old godson one of these days. I bet he'll pick green, if possible!

Goodnight everyone; have a great week. Wish me luck on my interview tomorrow!

The dark chocolate M&M's are the only kind I like!  Although I will eat peanut M&M's.  It's the only way I like peanuts.  That or dark chocolate Snicker bars.

:)
