Hallo everybody!
Can I ask you a favor?
I have to traslate from Italian to English some web-pages for the Turist Office of my little town. The problem is my English is not so good. So, may someone wanna correct me before I give to the Major the work?
You'd be angels...
Thank you so much.
Claudia

I think that if you use < i > before the text, and < /i > after the text, it automatically tranlsates your test into Italian. Now that's a blast from the past - I remember pages and pages of posters trying to fix it, (and commenting "Out Italians", but they kept inadvertently flipping the 'italian' switch back on. Good times!!!

what does it means "IBTZ"?????It means In Before The Zot, a reference to those who come onto this site only to disrupt and then figuritively booted out or given the zot.
Of course I know, Claudia, you're not a disrupter.
I'm sorry I can't help you with any translations, have any of the sensible posts here been of help to you?

Though my grand parents came to America from Noceto, I have never learned Italian and therefore will be of no assistance. I would, however, like to say 'thank you' for the wonderful sentiments you expressed about America and New York City on your "about page."
You are a beautiful young lady with a very wonderful heart. Stay well and come back to visit soon.

Terrific post, Roccus.
I remember Claudia's thread regarding her trip to our country. One could really envision her beaming with excitement about her adventure here.
A ragazza giovane meravigliosa she is at that.

SS is just a few months away for me, so writing to a beautiful teenage girl prolly makes it official. I'm a dirty old man. I gotta tell you though, I turned to mush when I read her page.

I've said something similar myself and gotten pretty much the same reaction, so don't feel bad.
Slang and colloquialisms are always the hardest for any non-native speaker, because it isn't generally something you learn in school. Slang is only something you hear and learn from real conversations among people who are native speakers of that language.

Claudia is a wonderful Italian FRiend of FR. She has visited the US and has posted pictures of her trip to share with us. We need more international friends like her.
