I think that if you use < i > before the text, and < /i > after the text, it automatically tranlsates your test into Italian.

My command of Italian isn't nearly as strong as I wish it was.I love Italy and have been there several times.In fact,I often joke that I believe that in a previous life I was an Italian (even though in this one,I'm of Irish blood).

Machine translators might be good for giving you an idea of what is being said, but they are so full of, shall we say, oddities, that they aren't good for publishing.

You need a human translator with some experience to do a good job.
