How strong is the coffee? How is it prepared? Yerba Mate is a tea (leaves from a plant related to holly) and is prepared by adding just-under boiling water to it in a gourd, then sipping it through a silver straw (bombilla) with a kind of strainer at the end.
It's *real* strong and is an acquired taste.

This has some mate tea in it and is pretty darn good/is made like regular tea.
You can definitely buy yerba stateside, even online.

Old joke my dad loved to tell:
Son, marriage is an institution: Anyone married should be institutionalized.
My mom would always laugh and say, "You're so bad."
My parents' sense of humor gets them through a lot in life.

Possibly the next step in coffee's evolution... The design work is all done -- catchy name, fine looking box, and that inhaler has just the right "medical quality" appearance. All that is left is for someone to produce it for real, not just as April fool's joke.
I'll stick to my Nicaraguan & Ethiopian regardless.

I thought the same thing. Imagine sitting in an office with a person that washed down his high fibre cereal with a hot mug of MORNING THUNDER

I like a great coffee. Sometimes placenames are overblown. Is Ethiopian smooth or harsh?

Is Ethiopian smooth or harsh? I am sort of addicted to French-pressed Ethopian Yergacheffe. Smooth as silk.

For some reason, the idea of tea brought this cartoon to mind.

Thanks for the laughs, Sully! #1 above is one of my faves next to the one of the mailman coming home saying "Give me a hand here, Edna, I ran into a nest of wiener dogs over on 5th and Maple street"
