, N.C. — New DNA evidence may link a Duke University lacrosse player to an exotic dancer who claims she was raped in the team's house, a Durham newspaper reported Wednesday.
Citing "several well-placed sources," The Herald Sun of Durham, N.C., reported that tissue collected from under the alleged victim's fingernail might match a player who was at the team party where the attack supposedly occurred.

Supposedly you need 13 "loci" for a complete match. If you have less it's only partial. If they have a match of 11 loci it could still be good evidence but if they have 6 or less it really isn't going to be very persuasive. I heard this from scientific "experts" making the rounds on TV.
Thanks very much for that explanation. I'm not really sure what a loci is and didn't know what they meant by a maybe match.
That's very different from saying we "almost" have a match.
Now I wonder if the maybe/supposed match is one of the three players the stripper identified. If not, will the DA care?

You're exactly right; and no date drug leaves you "lucid" enough to name names and pick out players and say where they were SITTING, and what they were DRINKING, and who they were TALKING to.
Let's see. She and her friend called police lying saying "they were just driving by..." Didn't mention a rape. No rape was ever mentioned. She fingered a guy 100% that has strong alibi. She has made these allegations 2 other times against people one could reasonably argue is vindictive..... on and on and on.

The DA has several things against him already...The time stamped photos, the ATM photo, the phone logs (which might include GPS data), furnishing ONLY Duke Players as a "line up" to pick from. This is another stupid move by DiFong...almost a match. This isn't horseshoes.

Where was she BEFORE she went to the Duke's house. Why is absolutely every report leaving that out? Why is everyone leaving out "Who was watching the kids?"
