..... But just in case it doesn't -- a word of wisdom from an elderly friend of mine that has helped me immeasurably through the years: if the concert bombs, will it affect the Plan of Salvation?

Pondering that thought has gotten me through more than one situation that I felt was 'intolerable' and yet came to realize was not significant in the grander scheme of things.

Well, you've just brought a big, warm smile to my face, dear FRiend. I didn't realize it at the time, but, yes, that is an illstillbe kind of word. It pleases me to think that maybe she had some influence on me and taught me a little about whimsey combined with life's truths.

I didn't reconnect you with your friend ... the Lord spent several years and some wonderful manipulations to pull that one off ... :-)

How did the yardwork go with you darling granddaughter? What beautiful weather we had yesterday!

Well, it was a semi-success. We did get some plants transplanted into a new small bed. On the other hand, she wantd to hoe and I had a small hand hoe to give her, but she got frustrated because it was hard. And she doesn't like WORMS or BUGS. She thinks they will "get her." LOL!

The first time you mention that she was afraid of bugs I searched for some children's books concerning the fear of bugs. Do you think your library might have some?

Let me restate that. I don't think it should be made into a big deal. She probably will outgrow it, but I was thinking along the lines of a humorous book about bugs...something fun.

If anyone's interested, the 2nd dancer in the Durham 'scandal' has now been identified as Kim Roberts. There's an FR thread up now showing her picture and rap sheet....very long and includes the fact that she embezzled $25,000 and was arrested for violation of her parole on the very day that the Duke students were arraigned. PLUS Nifong signed a paper eliminating her having to continue to pay 15% to a bail bondsman.
