...and more humble, and classier, and more intelligent....the list goes on!
I say Taylor is saving "Georgia" for finals.
Taylor's had a bad night EVERY night he's been there. He can neither sing (he has a lousy voice) or dance. His rendition of country road was one of the worst I have ever heard.
Fingers crossed and I hope so! : )
I don't know about that. I picked up the phone for Kellie and Bucky last night, and I ain't no teeny bopper.
What's that supposed to mean?
BTW, how well would you sing with strep throat? I had to do it once and I was barely able to croak out the song. Given the circumstances, Taylor did very well.
Ruben was a man. As my friend said, weight is not as inhibiting a factor to the success of men as it is for women. It is a greater sin for women to be fat than it is for men.
The only thing distinctive about Taylor's voice is that he can't sing. Each of the three men you named individually, had more talent in their pinkies than Taylor has in his entire body. The guy stinks and is in way over his head.
Just watched the show ... oh, maaaaaaaan ... I am seriously bummed! I'm glad Elliott is still around but I'm really sorry to see Mandisa go. Really, really sorry. I guess the lesson is -- DON'T PICK THE WRONG SONG!!! LOL!
Training does not give you taste. I have tons of training as well. Majored in vocal music, and music business. Worked for a record label and as a concert promoter prior to having children. Fact is, some good voices have no style, and some great stylists aren't the best singers. Let's just agree to disagree.
The only ability which Taylor exhibits, is the ability to appear enthusiastic. He raises his fist and laughs with his mouth open and cheers and claps his hands. If I needed to hire someone to look enthusiastic, I would hire him. The characterisitc that has gotten him this far is his visual spirit. That is not going to be enough to sell records or gain national success in the entertainment business. His quirky dancing won't be enough either.
He's touring right now with Queen, which is why I am hopeful he will have something to do with the show next week. I'm not sure what Roger Taylor can tell the singers, since he is essentially a drummer who harmonizes. Same for Brian May.
But any of those singers could use advice from Paul Rodgers on singing soulful blues rock. Particularly Elliot, Taylor and Chris.
I sure hope so, but he better be careful. He needs a GOOD week. If he has another bad week, he may not be around for do Georgia in the finals.
You don't have to have a perfect voice to be successful. Rod Stewart is a good example and there are others.
I wonder who is more forgiving. Men or women.
Uh, what?
I did not type that...I typed this:
"You & your memory....I had to google to find out who David Radford was"
