I have a headache so I am going to log off here shortly.
Have a good evening/night everyone!
It's almost 11 pm - as much as you think I'm a ray of sunshine...I'm really moonshine, darlin'. (hick! ;-} )I'm off to bed and hoping tomorrow is a sunny and glorious day!
I was reading a some blog comments at www.ajc.com and apparently Mandisa lost some support among gays for talking to much about God. Apparently Mandisa has stated that she is a big fan of Beth Morre the christian writer. Beth Moore on her website apparently has a link to an group that tries to help people come out of the gay lifestyle. Remember last week when Mandisa said something (before she started singing) that God can help you come out of any situation any lifestyle, etc... I don't know if thats why she lost but its possible.
I never heard so many people that quiet before.
Too Much Love Will Kill You would be amazing too:
I'm just the pieces of the man I used to be
Too many bitter tears are raining down on me
I'm far away from home
And I've been facing this alone
For much too long
I feel like no-one ever told the truth to me
About growing up and what a struggle it would be
In my tangled state of mind
I've been looking back to find
Where I went wrong
Too much love will kill you
If you can't make up your mind
Torn between the lover
And the love you leave behind
You're headed for disaster
'cos you never read the signs
Too much love will kill you
Every time
I'm just the shadow of the man I used to be
And it seems like there's no way out of this for me
I used to bring you sunshine
Now all I ever do is bring you down
How would it be if you were standing in my shoes
Can't you see that it's impossible to choose
No there's no making sense of it
Every way I go I'm bound to lose
Too much love will kill you
Just as sure as none at all
It'll drain the power that's in you
Make you plead and scream and crawl
And the pain will make you crazy
You're the victim of your crime
Too much love will kill you
Every time
Too much love will kill you
It'll make your life a lie
Yes, too much love will kill you
And you won't understand why
You'd give your life, you'd sell your soul
But here it comes again
Too much love will kill you
In the end...
In the end.
Wow, wouldn't it be great if she got the votes for being any good? I don't know what anyone sees in Paris.
The reality of it all is that Mandisa's 'phone is going to ring tomorrow before breakfast about a job and Paris is going to have to get her grandma to pull strings to get her one when she's voted off!
Did any of them have four #1 hits (and a fifth on the way) from a single album?
She's on tour after the show for a few months and Idol has an option for a record if they want her.
interesting observation.....
Good night, my friend. I imagine you're running on empty today. God bless.
My point was that record sales are not a measure of talent. It's a preference thing. Hey, I heard her sing during the Orange Bowl in 2005 and she basically screamed her way through "Since You Been Gone". I don't like her.
Ace is still on this year's show as well. 'Splain that.
I know--it was like somebody turned off Niagra Falls.
I'd rather go to sleep. Is that okay with you?
His time is coming. He doesn't have the numbers to win (or talent, imo). I really think Bucky should have gone, but he may go next week. At some point all the extras will fall. Only one will be left standing.
I feel bad since I voted one hour for Taylor (I thought he might need it) and one hour for Mandisa. I should have voted for Mandisa the first hour, then I would have realized that Taylor was ok and could have voted for the second hour. Hard to say if it would have helped or not since we are never told exactly how many votes each one gets.
But, I can console my over sight with the fact that she probably wouldn't have won anyway.
Now, all I have is Taylor to vote for. I don't care for any of the others.
No.....I like Katherine a lot. I think she has the best voice and should win the whole thing.
My 2nd choice is Elliot......voicewise.
It didn't work for David Radford.
He was a clown.
Hopefully Paul Rodgers will lend his expertise to the proceedings.
I'm not much of a Queen fan, but Paul Rodgers is among the finest British rock and rolls singers off all time.
I'd love to hear Elliot do some of his material.
You & your memory....I had to google to find out who he was....
Mandisa has a fantastic voice, but not for country music. She had a bad night. She's leaving b/c she had a bad night, not because she's big. She had the best spirit of anyone there, and it shows. A very classy lady. I'm sorry to see her go.
Bucky, Ace, and Kellie need to go. They are the worst ones left.
