And now for tonight’s Dinklemeyer:
This one is continuing the story started last week: Deathball. This story is a culmination of the awful memories I have being forced to play volleyball in Middle School.

Oooh, that's pretty terrible.
One of the worst ones I've seen was the thread that actually broke the news of Peter Jennings' death. Apparently two guys were actually happy he was dead for whatever reasons. I didn't want to get involved but eventually got sucked in.
The flame war got so terrible, the two guys were zotted (they had both been FReepers for years) and the whole thread was pulled.

Yep. Reminds me about the thread about wisconsin allowing the shooting of stray cats (which got a few people banned) and the WWII thread about the mass rapes of German women by Russian soldiers (those of us who stated that it is wrong to rape ANY woman were flamed or worse).

Amazing. And what's really scary to me is that a vicious flame war breaks out in the most unlikely, unexpected threads. It's like an earthquake. You don't know when or where it's going to happen next.

I hope it does not bother you to bump an old topic but I find it funny that China would ban live movies with cartoon characters in them (like Who Framed Roger Rabbit).
