I know. It's too hard, trashy woman for most country fans. I lurk on several music forums and this is the biggest complaint most fans have about her music.Does this say anything about us, in her fans' estimations? Not that I plan to change my sensibilities but I'm curious if there's a push-pull going on, or just an "agree to disagree."

I hope the Carrie doesn't expect too much too soon.More to the point, I hope Clive Davis and the 19 Mgmt crowd don't expect too much too soon. Everything I've heard about the album makes it sound like a hodge-podge of country and pop. Her "Some Hearts" single has risen to #72 on the pop airplay chart.
Tonight is probably the very best exposure she can get in country. Hope she does good with her song.

This reminds me of a few years ago when the doughboys Rascal Flatts got some award and embarrassingly pulled Alabama up on stage to give them the award. Alabama walked up all awkward and told them they didn't want it.
It was priceless

If some notorious male freepers can say it, so can I...

I think he probably got "the memo" lol!
That's one thing I love about MOST ALL country singers...they're very pro-America, military, family, family values.

Does this say anything about us, in her fans' estimations? No, I don't think so. Even many of her fans say it's time for her do cut back on the hard-edged stuff. Some say they really want her to do a nice ballad as a change of pace.
