It was 5-6" long, and poodle-curled. My last cut was early June. It wasn't looking too bad (except where the color was fading :-), but I'm not going to have time to fuss with it *at all* once the baby is born, so it is extremely short now.

any Yumi can be held in either hand, shot with either hand - they have no riser, no shelf, no "handedness": they are axially bilaterally symmetric
if your bowhand is your right hand, the arrow will rest on the left of the bow.

Der Prinz says Merry Christmas and fraternal greetings back atcha. He got me a Knights of Columbus license plate for Christmas. I suppose he'll get himself one when the plate on his truck is due for renewal.
We haven't decided on the new baby's name yet; maybe we'll settle on Michael McGivney :-). Dr. Something-Polish says 4 to 6 weeks, leaning toward the sooner arrival, given my age and history. Hope it's not too much over 9 lbs.

Ah...I have to get mine done ASAP...it continues to grow, and unlike the other members of my family, I have to pay for curls/body. It is fine, and thick, so other people have a tough time doing anything with it.
Is yours naturally curly?

Is yours naturally curly?Yes. Bill, Sally, and Pat have the poodle curl, too. When mine was long, back when I had *many fewer* children, I could do antebellum ringlets just by getting it wet and twisting it around my finger. It would hold until I slept on it or it got wet again.

James was 9 lbs., and he was born about 10 days before his official due date. I will not be thrilled if Baby Whosis weighs 10!

Argh!
If I get my hair wet and gather it in one place, it will take at least 20 hours to dry at the place it was gathered...like a pony tail.

I can't relate to snow any more. Are you done going to D-FW?

I used to put mine up in a bun wet and let it dry for about 20 hours. Then it would be straight until I walked outside :-).

My sisters are that way. Me? I walk outside and it droops and looks like it had never seen a curling iron, perm or braid. *sigh*

That's probably not exactly what she said, but I think it's a loose translation...

Maybe you can help me with this. I seem to remember the Mongals wore a silk shirt under their armor to stop arrows or something.
Have I gone totally mad or does this ring any kind of bell?

the samurai sometimes wore a type of cloak which would billow out behind them when riding ahorse, which (supposedly) formed a somewhat effective barrier against arrows.
I don't know much about the Golden Horde, sorry.
