That's reminiscent of a classic Vargas. But I've got to ask, how/where did you get a graphic of my wife in that "Santa Baby" get-up?

LOL!

Did the dog ever write a children's book?

See the funny, fuzzy fish swim.
Swim, fish, swim!
See the funny, fuzzy fish making bubbles.
Now the funny, fuzzy fish is very still.

"...one of those "acid-throwing thug at the front door" stories."

I have a smattering of chemistry, but I don't do stories like that. I just finished a chapter with a dark, evil entity involved.

Just finished him off neat and clean. No need for messy floors.

If Darks is related to Prout and Prout is related to me, then Darks is related to me, too.

Let's consider the ramifications.....

her name was Lacy Elizabeth K___, and she attended Newcomb at the same time I attended Tulane. she was, up till that time, the loveliest specimen of femality I had ever observed. and she knew how to dress, walk, and smile to her advantage.

I remember her...lovely girl...

Those were some good times...

Once upon a time, a very long time ago, my mother discovered that we had a mouse living in the kitchen. She did not like the mouse. The mouse loved living with us.

Mom brought our "outside" kitty inside to take care of the problem. Spook was an excellent mouser and my mother expected to receive a "present" the next morning.

The very next morning, Mom came down to the kitchen. Spook was sitting in the doorway, idly watching the mouse as it leisurely walked across the kitchen floor. My mother looked at the cat as if to say, "Well, what are you waitng for?" The cat looked at my mother with an affronted expression that clearly stated "Mother's mouse is sacred, not to be touched."

We learned to live with the mouse.

I can't feel my legs right now. They feel like over stuffed logs right now. It was a VERY good workout this morning. I love leg day. I think the people in the gym there were a little worried that I may have lost my mind.

Oh well...

And how are you?

I'm fine. I have to corral the kids and force them to do lessons this morning. (We're all out of practice!)

Mcxlplx has camped out on my lap for a nap.

I've set up my workout schedule: 30 minutes walking on treadmill everyday; swimming on Mon and Wed; Bowflex on Tues, Thurs, and Sat. Once the routine is established, I'll probably throw in some videos (belly dancing, ballet, or yoga) to increase flexibility and to stave off boredom.

I always like the upper body work out days. It's the one area of my body that I'd never really paid attention to before the bowflex. After bowflex, I'd increased strength and built up some nice muscle.

As an unexpected side benefit, the bustline looked marvelous. With the right boob-sling and a nice set of pecs against which to press, a b-cup can look downright impressive!

Eh... I'm at work. That kind of ruins the post workout euphoria. Did 15 minutes on an eliptical. Auto program set for a dual hill profile, resistance set to 8. Supposedly burnt 260 some odd calories. Then I hit the squat rack. 5 sets. Max weight was 365 for one short set. Then I hit the Leg Press rack. Did 4 full sets there. 5 plates from the bottom of the stack. I still think that "200" is kg. It sure feels like it. Then I went on to leg curls. Again, 4 set maxing out at around 100 on the forth set of 8 reps. Then toe raisers on a seated calf machine. Had 4 45lbs plates and a 35lbs plate for that last set of 15 reps. Then over to the leg extention rack. Started at 75, went up to 135 for my last set of 10 reps.

All of this in one hour. Remember, I started off doing 15 minutes on the eliptical. I just COOKED through the workout. I do chest and arms on Monday, with a 15 minute warm up. Friday is shoulders and back wit hthe same warm up as always. I've already lost about an inch off the waistline and look a lot better in the mirror.

Damn straight a B-cup can look quite tasty. Well toned muscles look good on anyone.

Wow! I'm impressed.

I always use the walking on the treadmill as a warm up for the bowflex. I start out at a sedate 2.7 mph until I begin to "glow", then I gradually crank it up to 3.9 mph. When I can hold that pace on a flat treadmill for 20 minutes, I begin playing with the incline button. Within a month I'll be walking varying inclines at speeds between 3.0 and 3.9 mph for 45 minutes. The other 15 minutes are for warm-up and cool-down. I love to come off the treadmill dripping with sweat.

The bowflex is a different matter all together. The routines are based on 6 week cycles. You start at relatively low "weights" (they're resistance rods, really) with, say, 8 different exercises. When you can complete 12 reps at that weight, you increase the total resistance by 10 pounds the next time you do that exercise. New exercises are added on as the 6-week cycle progresses until you are doing 12 different exercises.

My challenge has always been trying to get to where all of the arm muscles are using approximately the same amount of resistance (within 10 lbs). I want the muscles to look (and be) balanced.

Now, swimming is my joy! I love to swim. I took a Total Immersion swim class this summer and learned how to swim more efficiently. Now, I can swim 1000 yds faster and with less effort than before. That translates into doing anywhere between 3000 yds and 5000 yds every time I'm in the pool. My previous best was 2800 in 90 minutes.

I'm hoping to learn to do breastroke properly and to learn how to do fly. Nothing like using the same muscles differently to add variety to a routine.

Anyway, the hubby and I will take my measurements tonight and I'll start the exercise routine tomorrow. I think that I'll wait 4 to 6 weeks before I re-weigh and re-measure myself. No point in driving myself crazy on a weekly basis.

I'm sorry that your work is killing the post workout high. Can we eliminate work?
