If I end up staying awake for three days straight, I start seeing things.
Like the ground rippling like water.
Sleep deprivation is quite... interesting.

I liked the part where the Wing Commander version got to CATS...

After three days without sleep everybody start to see things Darks!
LOL!
To: Darksheare
LOL!
Really? Do tell.
To: EsmeraldaA
Oh.
I thought that was just a side effect of my wacky mind deciding to play games with me and going, "Oh hey! Wow! Look at THIS!" after three days without sleep.

Silly! I don't make it to three....
To: Darksheare
LOL!
Yes, I knew that.
That's why I said "Really?".

Once in awhile I go through insomnia spells where I end up unable to sleep for three days straight no matter how hard I try.
Usually I end up with an idea for a drawing, or some strange poem popping out of my head.
Thankfully, I only suffer that 'once in awhile'.
(Was a plus in uniform as sometimes we needed to be up for three days straight.)

You do?
Your sis told something like it.
Your fault, I'm sure!
To: Darksheare
I like it when you share things.
I am going to say good night to Ma at the canteen and then I'm off Darks.
Good night and sweet dreams. ;)
Don't stay up until you see things...
To: EsmeraldaA
Yes, once in awhile I do.
Familial trait, inherited in the family.
Along with psychosis, art ability, and weird affinity for fire.
/ semi-joking.

Hydrofluoric acid would do the trick. It looks like that dihydromonoxide stuff, and it even feels like it -- for awhile, anyway. Along about fiteen minutes after contact, it'll have migrated through the soft tissues and made contact with your calcium-rich bones, whence it will set about dissolving them in-situ. The sensation is akin to having the affencted bone catch fire. The only treatment is immediate, multiple, local injections of calcium to neutralize the remaining acid and halt destruction of the bone.
NnB -- Imagine this stuff instead of hydrochloric or sulfuric acid one of those "acid-throwing thug at the front door" stories.

I used to have a 95lb black lab named Ruthless (full name, Ruthless The Tongue). A mouse got into the house, and neither of the two cats were very interested, though they did at least condescend to 'herd' it out the back door. The little beggar was thinking he was home free when the dog caught sight of him from 40 feet away, and galloped (a 95 pound dog does NOT run) over to meet his new playmate. Unfortunately for all concerned, in his excitement, he got up too much velocity and overran the mouse, trampling the once-lucky rodent to death. The dog was very disappointed that the small fuzzy thing was good for only one "squeek!" and refused to play with him.
So he ate it. *** ACK!! ***

The missus last dog, named Bear, he had a thing for drowning mice in his water dish.
He liked watching them swim until they quit swimming.
