some rapper punk or whoever was just on trying to get people to donate money to the red cross. He was on with Mike Myers (Wayne's World). Mike Myers asked people to donate...then Kanye West went on a tirade about Iraq, Mike Myers said something else, and then Kanye says "GEORGE BUSH DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE!"

A Red Cross rep was interviewed and he said that the city officials will not let them in.

Of course we know our President cannot abide black people, that is why he asked and trusted CONDOLEEZA RICE with the Secretary of STATE position. Ya know...to kind of represent our nation all around the world!

I know that most, if not all, of those entertainers are raging leftwingnuts who hate conservatives and Republicans and the middle class with all their might.
I was upset this forum was used as an opportunity for one of them to foment their banal ideology on the public airwaves, and that the response from Matt Lauer was merely to call it "criticism". Kanye and Lauer ought to apologize, and be called on the carpet. You can bet if some conservative said something similar, the LameStream Press would be plastering it all over their pages and broadcasts.

I've donated, and will do so again.
Until there is some sort of statement from the Red Cross condemning these remarks, no money from me through the Red Cross. I agree completely that anyone who would let the words of West or Lauer keep them from helping through any of the many other fine venues is letting a twerp cause a minor tragedy.
Does anyone have recorded feed from the event? I have'nt had a chance to see it..I have been working all day to help the evacuees with food and water, just got back. Oh for the record I am white and am donating the next 3 weeks for the relief effort, taking part of my vacation time and no pay.

I don't really listen to Kayne West's music. Lauer is a moron. Whenever I see him on tv, he reminds me of that reporterette on CNN in the morning, Soledad O'Brien. Pretty but a bubblehead.
