some rapper punk or whoever was just on trying to get people to donate money to the red cross. He was on with Mike Myers (Wayne's World). Mike Myers asked people to donate...then Kanye West went on a tirade about Iraq, Mike Myers said something else, and then Kanye says "GEORGE BUSH DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE!"

Kanye West is a rapper from an upper-middle class family. He is not from the streets. He is just another bufoon who's critical thinking skills are too shallow to make conclusions based upon what is really occurring. Why doesn't he go help his own people out and stop whining?
I have not liked West since he was childish and pouty at the Grammys when he didn't win best new artist. He was also really insulting about Gretchen Wilson who did win.
I wonder if Scarborough is going to address this on his wonderful PMSNBC show?
IMHO..."w" needs to put chaney in charge of white house and iraq, and he better sit up camp in south....or the media and these fools (gov't in LA) is going to ty and fry him and the republicans over this.....even if most of us don't believe it.
He needs to take RUDY and POWELL with him, Plus the government better clamp down on media like it or not, or we will see the true south rise again "which I pray won't happen" but they are pushing to many buttons. the people of MISS and ALABAMA won't take it much long, as they are hurting also.

Geraldo was very emotional about the suffering of the people he is encountering in the Superdome, almost breaking down in tears. He says there is electricity, water, etc., on the other side of the bridge in Jefferson Parish, but if people try to cross they are turned back at a checkpoint. Neither of them had an explanation for that.
Your points are intellectually correct. The problem is that most of what we see in the media is blacks demanding, criticizing and complaining. This is tremendously destructive to race relations. The problem is really the media, which, needing controversy to survive, won't give the time of day to the overwhelming majority of blacks who are responsible, intelligent and hard-working.
So, in order to punish multimillionaires West amd Lauer, you are going not going to give anything through any agency. There are thousands of victims, of all colors, who have lost everything, not in New Orleans itself, but in the metro area and in coastal Mississippi and Alabama. Decent, hardworking Americans are working, giving, and praying as a type to help them get through the days ahead in strange shelters while you "sleep on" whether they deserve your help.
This a real life disaster, not a game, not a TV show.
Maybe someone needs to ax him that....
Why do people watch/listen to that scum? That's a large part of the problem: supporting those that hate us by buying their CDs, products and by watching them, giving them an audience.
