Hi all, I really appreciate participating in your forum and will start my posting with new information from the United States, I also would like to have your comments on the declared phenomenon:

As a result of war on terrorism Islam becomes the fastest-growing religion in America and in the world although religion is no longer dominates everyday life in Western society. Millions of people read Koran (Quran) in the Internet and visited Islamic sites.

The fact Now Americans and Western are converting by thousands to Islam (in US a rate of 100,000 a year), I don't think most of it is in the prisons like Mohammad Ali, but there is a great amount of conversion to Islam in American prisons and outside.

LOL no things have not been going well. It will get worse for them if indeed Bill Frists uses the nuclear option. A repeat of the nervous breakdown all of them had when Bush was reelected. :)

The war on terror and people converting to Islam has nothing to do with each other.

The "converts" you cite converted long ago.

Most Muslim converts are black Muslims, who are a sect of Islam founded in the USA. E.g. Mike Tyson. They are active in prisons, but fill a spiritual need in the amoral areas.

Other converts are "seekers" who see in the purity of Islamic practice a way of life. They are the same types drawn to the LDS faith, or to stict Orthodox Judism. They want rules and ritual to help them reach God. Many Catholics whose local churches are wishy washy fall into this category.

Many Muslims are immigrants, but the "statistics" are not clear...many people with Arab names are assumed to be Muslim, for example, yet polls show half of American Arabs are actually Christian (Lebanese and Palastinians fleeing from chaos in their countries).

FInally, some become Muslims because they marry Muslims. I know several women who did so, so that their families would not be divided by sect.

The war on terror has to do with a fascist type of Islam...not with the many types of Islam actually found here,. The main danger is that the Saudis are funding mosques with their strict teachers, who teach a sect of Islam that is stricter than Mohammed's teachings...
