For anybody who might want to know, Ann Coulter is a guest on Leno tonight. Just a heads up and place to comment.
And now he's just a joke. ;)
She is SO funny.
Jay's a gentleman and knows how to make a guest feel comfortable unless that guest is an actor/actress who has recently been on the news for doing something stupid (i.e. Hugh Grant some years ago). He will not get laughs at their expense.
He probably wasn't trying to be funny.
There are conservatives in the audiance.
And all I can say is things have changed. A conservative would never have been treated that nicely 10 years ago.
Yeah it seemed like a very conservative audience. I was more relieved than entertained though... I wish they could have been more funny and not talked politics so much. Everything they said I had already read in her articles.
Darn, I missed it. Anyone care to fill me in on what was said?
You really didn't miss much. It was a typical lightweight Leno interview.
I think she left the 'bottom half' of her outfit in the Green Room. . .did not see her walk in. . .or out. But yikes! Oh well, maybe she thinks you won't notice her ears. . .(hey. . .NO one is perfect!) Or maybe she was going ice skating after the show?
That said; she did a great job dismantling what seems to be the typical; pie-throwing Lib and their mental-midgetProfessors as well.
She also seems to be honing some routine 'stand up' responses; which are good; but she 'feels' a little nervous. . .which in turn, makes me a little nervous watching her.
But no matter; she is great and of course, right on!
I was hoping they would ask her about Bolton. . .or even Delay. . .or Hillary's fundraising. Yes, I was dreaming; Leno would have lost half his audience, for sure.
Just wanted to hear a 'relevant and current 'punch' sound as it met the end of the imaginary Lib nose. . .
NOOO way!
I have NEVER heard him wax even close to funny. . .
Perhaps he TRIED to be a 'stand-up comic'. . .(?)
I like that she mentioned that Republicans on campus are the real rebels, but then she went nowhere with it. Leno even prompted her to elaborate and she just didn't. I wish she had gone into a tirade about how faculties fund all kinds of leftwing groups and professors spout leftwing propoganda, yet leftwingers claim to be the rebels on campus. It's such a joke.
Always good to see Ann! I don't think it's easy for her to play to an audience, most of which might not be as in to politics as she is.
There are FREEPERS in the audience.
I do think she is doing what amounts to almost a 'stand-up'routine' and she sticks to it.
Maybe for lack of time. . .or whatever; that seems to be her mode for these kind of appearances. Not like what we see; when she is in serious political mode. . .full bore ahead.
And for sure, Leno is not going to go there; so she just keeps it light. . .but right on. But yes, she had a small window tonight and she did not go there; but she may have known there was not time.
Or; it just did not fit into what she practiced for that time slot. . .going back to the 'routine' thing; which is what this felt like.
Agree, that she knows her venues; as does Leno. . .
Ann does manage to pack a lot into a small time slot; even more so; by her 'dress'/appearance, which like a good picture; adds it's own l,000 words or so, to her political lesson.
Surely many in larger audience not familiar with her; and now have a hint that Conservatives can be 'blonde, smart and funny'.
And that despite their best illusions; Libs are none of the above.
. . .no problem; does not sound like he does either. . .
Was this before or after his role as Skeletor?
