AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1397) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 17, 2004 | All of Us

Posted on 11/17/2004 4:33:22 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Hopefully this is not the foreshadowing of a recurrence of a bad dream...

RECOUNT OF PRESIDENTIAL BALLOTS WILL OCCUR IN OHIO...

...STORY HERE

This recount is being demanded and financed by Libertarian and Green Party wackos in the Buckeye State.

In Iraq, terrorists are vowing the current round of violence is only the beginning of what American troops will face. (EN--At the current KIA ratio, they'd better hope it's a short story...)

NASA's X-43A aircraft reached Mach 9.7 in a flight yesterday.

ABC aired a racy promo of Desperate Housewives just before Monday Night Football a couple of nights ago. Viewers have complained, the NFL has said it was inappropriate, and the network has apologized.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I eat low carb so don't eat grits regularly, but about once a month I eat grits when I buy breakfast at a fundraiser. Does that count?

Those red state / blue state pictures are interesting and have provoked thoughts about the differences between conservatives and liberals.

The red state picture shows a soldier smoking a cigarette. Liberals have used strongarm methods to outlaw guns and smoking. That picture exemplifies what liberals oppose most strongly.

The blue state picture shows two guys in drag. Do liberals oppose such "alternative lifestyles"? No, and they are not the least bit ambivalent about it either. Rather, wherever liberals have influence, they have enacted rules and legislation that ban any opposition or even criticism of such lifestyles.

It's clear who the real freedom lovers are, huh?

Indeed, it is crystal clear.

Hello, everyone! I have been running errands all afternoon and just got home. Stir-fry for supper. I will be back later this evening.

Hi, Guennie! I was reading about your daughter this morning. Well do I remember those nerves and crying jags! I once collapsed in tears because I had to take the trash out. LOL!

I am so glad your daughter lives close to you so you can baby her during this emotional time. (It probably helps her hubby, too!)

#146...LOL, she said the other day she started crying because she was eating a banana :)

BTW, I'm real proud of your success with Weight Watchers....
...I hear it's new and improved now....and easier to start.

I'm looking for something like that after my stress eating of the past year.

I have been chasing myself for days, finally caught me and I sat down to read the threads!

Happy Birthday Prairie!

Heard Randy Roads (Err America) say that the dims HAVE to take back the house and senate in 2006 so GWB can be "IMPEACHED FOR THE MURDERER HE IS". Those people are SO sick!!!!

Re: new Secy of State

Whenever I post something regarding State Dept, there is usually somebody who immediately condemns State and/or its employees. This is not being posted for that; this is just a comment I had solicited from our Family Member who is in the Foreign Service. Although she is not as conservative as many of the others in the family, she is definitely more conservative than most of her fellow govt workers.

"Condi will support the Bush adminstration and try to
bring State on board. Powell listened to State's
input and often brought a dissenting view into cabinet
mtgs. Powell did a h*ll of a lot for morale, money,
infrastructure (making sure there was internet access
on all desktops instead of one separate stand alone
internet computer per section), I really doubt if
Condi will fight as hard on the hill and internally to
support us the same way. There is a lot of opposition
here to her coming on board. It should be interesting!"

Just thought some might be interested in the viewpoint of an employee. Oh, although our FM highly, highly respects Powell, she is not one of those against Dr. Rice. It was known from the beginning & throughout his term, that Colin Powell did not wish to stay after the first term. (Now, if he recently changed his mind. I don't know that.)

I cannot tell you how good I think this program is. Mr. Marple is going to start going to the meetings with me this week. There is a woman there who has lost 180 pounds!

It is a well-balanced diet, and truthfully, I am rarely hungry. They also allow enough leeway that if once a week you want to have deep-fried shrimp and frenchfries, you are still ok.

It is a well-balanced diet, and has also helped me lower my cholesterol. (Although stopping eating smoked sausage with fried potatoes might have something to do with that...HA!)

Usually a center will have several meeting times. Some leaders are better than others. We have a great leader at my time slot on Saturdays. She is upbeat, enthusiastic, and always has lots of tips and recipes.

My sister went to a different meeting timeonce, and it was more like an encounter group. Blech!

Anyway, I highly recommend this program. I feel better than I have in the last few years, and I am sure it is not only the weight loss, but the addition of healthy foods to my diet.

I love the cardinal picture, but none like that sit on my trees or eat the goodies I put out there for them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Prairie. May you have many more.

It isn't too bad. I drove to Waco this AM and in spots the rain was pretty heavy. Roomey drove to Temple and said there was water everywhere. We've had a good drenching, so far I haven't seen any flooding, but then I've not bee off the main roads. There may be some flooding somewhere.

Wow. The wing commander (full bird) stopped in tonight to say hello. He's a great guy. I certainly didn't expect the visit, but it worked out very well.

He said he was going to send public affairs over to do an interview for the base newspaper.

Evening, Jim. Sorry you had a long day.

Do you know who won the game Monday night? I was in the airport when the game started, and missed the last 3 quarters. The Cowboys seemed to be doing pretty good when I left.

I had such high hopes.

I'm going to flip over to the linux side of this computer and work on my mapping software. I'll be back later.
