We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
American forces now control 80% of Fallujah. The remaining terrorists are now cornered.

Outgoing AG Ashcroft commented that there are certain judges in America which threaten National Security by ruling contradictory to the President's obligations under international treaties and agreements. Specifically, Ashcroft condemned a judge's ruling that the President's decision that Al Qa'eda members were exempt from the Geneva Conventions was wrong.
The ACLU, naturally, disagreed with Ashcroft.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Do fill us in....
*snicker*
I turned back to my cart, only to see it speeding up down the grade. I chased it, but too late! It hit a parked car and DENTED it!
I was mortified. I left my name and phone number on the owner's windshield.
He called me to get my insurance number, and couldn't believe I did that big dent with a grocery cart! LOL!
Since then, I NEVER let go of the grocery cart until it is in the corral!
Just popping in for a quick hello. I nearly forgot that I am supposed to help out with a church concert tonight, luckily I remembered a couple of hours ago. yeesh...
So, need to find an early supper for myself. Mr Prairie says he will fend for himself later.
Prairie
Hi prairie...
My folks would call us and ask us to stop by for a visit. They often invited us to try one of dad's new recipes or come pick up some produce from the garden. When they got frailer, they didn't have to make up excuses...we were all in the habit of dropping by anyway.
I am going to be honest with my kids. If I want some company, I am just going to call them and tell them! That way, we can arrange a visit at their convenience, rather than making up reasons why they need to stop by.
He knew we were out of town for 2 little days!!
But he calls right before we get home...
...He has a car....he drives it to church and also out to eat.
He knows where supermarkets and drugstores are...(& they're mere blocks away!)
...but he calls to say he needs money...(supposedly without checking his wallet, even though hubby had him count his money 2 days ago, and he had plenty!)....and
..when I tell him he has money enough to buy cold med and take mom out to a nice meal...
..he gets petulant, and says, 'never mind, I'll just eat a hamburger'....
ACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK....I can't answer your question....I don't know why he acts like this....
That's why hubby and I needed some time away!!!!!!!!
I was just there Wednesday (we left Thursday afternoon)...
..hubby was there Thursday after work....
..and daughter & her hubby took mom & dad out to dinner last night!....
I guess I'm not sure what you're saying.....
...but they get visits and attention.
Congratulations on your win. It is nice to have our favorite teams victorious.
Today I saw the worst playing injury I've ever witnessed. Reggie Brown got hit in the head and was quite still for several minutes. He was able to walk off the field but left the game for the hospital. At this moment I haven't learned the extent of his injuries. He needs our prayers. It was real scary.
When your parents were younger...say 20 years ago...were they in the habit of calling you and asking you to drop by for a visit?
I am not talking about YOUR efforts, but rather THEIR reaching out 20 years ago.
If they didn't do it then, your dad may feel like he has to make up reasons to ask for a visit now.
Plus, he may be running his own pity party because his life isn't what it was.
I KNOW how much you do for your folks, and would never dream of saying YOU don't do enough!!
I don't believe I've seen y'alls' names on the thread today. I hope you're okay.
Auburn was very impressive again today. I sure hope they get into the championship game. They've earned it, I think.
Truthfully, my parents have always isolated themselves.....
...never sustaining friendships for very long.....
...they only needed each other.
Good night. I'm beat.
Well he definitely noticed my necklace. I saw him eyeing it back in the sacristy before Mass.
I went out and announced the opening hymn then went to the back of church for the processional. He was standing off in the corner and motioned for me to come to him.
He whispers,,, "Sometime you need to sit down and explain the reason why the Republican symbol is an elephant and the Democrat symbol is a donkey".
Quick as a flash, I whispered back: "That's so easy. The elephant is a symbol of strength and courage,, something strong enough to protect the weak and frightened,,, and the Donkey is a (mouthing the words but not uttering them in church) Jack A$$"
Then I winked at him,,, he's 37 and young enough to be my son if I'd started my family early,, and started down the isle with the Bible held high.
At the Sign of Peace, as he approached me he said, "Please remind me to never ask you a question unless I REALLY want to hear the answer". I grinned and wished him Peace in his Heart.
Score: Granny 2 - Lib Priest 0.
(altho I really think I deserve more than 2 points being as I had to hold my own with him in front of church 6 wks ago and now again,, But I play fair. There were only 2 confrontations, I won them both, so I will settle for 2 points.)
Thanks. I think they've cinched the SEC West title and will be playing TN, I think, again.
Next Saturday....BEAT BAMA!
Ah, one of the band members just got home.
He walked right into that one, didn't he? ... *grinning from ear to ear*
I spy.
WHOP~!!!!!!!!!!
BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!
IG WINS!!!
(I can just picture you mouthing Jack A$$ LOL).
Hi there, sweetie!
I was looking forward to watching their game today, but when I got back to the Post Office I was told one of the new mail carriers, a woman in her 50s, had car trouble and I was sent out to help her. That delayed me 2 hours so I missed most of the game.
I listened to Vanderbilt lose yet another game after leading in the second half. They had a 13-0 lead against a hapless Kentucky team and looked like they were going to win their first SEC road game since 2000, but then they managed to shoot themselves in the foot and lost 14-13.
I'm meeting Ruoxi, the Chinese girl, for the first time in weeks. We're chatting now and she's telling me all about her school and family life, and also added that she felt God was so close to her recently.
