AMERICA - The Right Way!! (WEEKEND EDITION: Days 1393 and 1394) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 13, 2004 | All of Us

Posted on 11/13/2004 4:54:21 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

American forces now control 80% of Fallujah. The remaining terrorists are now cornered.

Elsewhere:

Final election vote tally:

Bush = 60,480,193

Outgoing AG Ashcroft commented that there are certain judges in America which threaten National Security by ruling contradictory to the President's obligations under international treaties and agreements. Specifically, Ashcroft condemned a judge's ruling that the President's decision that Al Qa'eda members were exempt from the Geneva Conventions was wrong.

The ACLU, naturally, disagreed with Ashcroft.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I love those election results! I noticed the count is still around 136,000 in Ohio and wonder what the count is the Dims are doing? They have a PLAN :-) When the final count is in, it will show sKerry won by a landslide and Bush is going to be kicked back to Crawford TX. I LOVE gloating! It is probably a sin, but I love it!

Go ahead and have a good gloat - you deserve it. Bragging is a sin too I am sure, so I probably shouldn't mention that my High School freshman brought home all A's and an A- that was almost an A. He had some of his friends over for the night - but they've all left now, so maybe I can think again...............I feel sort of burned out on news consumption after the intense lead up to the election.

I went a whole week without gloating, at least publicly. Then, I didn't start it - a lib started whining at me and got me started. I'm only gloating now in self defense, as a counter attack, so to speak. Sure feels good. I'll go to confession about it later.

I tried hard NOT to gloat..Sending email to libs etc. I did send a few things to know GOPers.

a group I am in is having an annual dinner & the other night when asked if I was going, I asked the date & it was 20 Jan. I said I would be at the Inauguration.. well, one of the men lit into me about gloating etc.. he was series. I guess I could have just said that I have "other impt plans" but didn't think it was colossal problem.

Most of the libs are ultra sensitive right now. That is another reason I am weaning myself away from these folks.

Wont be goining Kayaking on Lake Erie tomorrow with a small group (all libs) either.. but my URI that I am fighting is a better reason to NOT go.

Ride, that is wonderful news on your sons grades. Mine was never a scholar (the understatement of this thread). Hope he can continue to be motivated to do well. Does he play an instrument?

I'm glad you'll get to attend the inauguration. Hope the weather is better than in 2001.

Son joined the band in grade school to play the drums (!) and did very well. He didn't pursue it further because it was just a peer thing....meaning, he joined when a bunch of the other boys did and dropped out when they did. He's into sports. Freshman basketball - they've been running him ragged in training.........early morning swims, running 4m. uphill on a country road, running up the local ski hill!!! LOL Must be a little like what my brothers experienced in basic training back in the late 60s.........

Congrats to your freshman!

I am relishing a teeny bit of gloating because for months, prior to the election, acquaintances bombarded me with "information" about President Bush and in some generic email, forwarded from liberals, I was told how STUPID Bush supporters were. Well, I am in the company of over 60 million other "stupid" people and we are the MAJORITY!!!

I remember you mentioning some of that unwelcome incoming correspondence from the liberals. Glad you (we) are having the last laugh!

Sporadically checking FR and posting on work breaks... Swapping dryers - the belt of my old Kenmore (about 30yo) snapped a couple weeks ago and I've been washing very small loads and hanging clothes inside the house in betweenst election and Fallujah news. Y'day was going to order a new belt, but seredipitously ran across a new (15yo?) Kenmore at a local second hand store and got it for $20 --- a new belt probably would cost as much.

I would love to go to the FR Innaug ball... Probably, given my second-grader, will not be able to break away to do that. Have not given up the thought, though.

I've totally given up on not gloating now, though. I'll let 'em have it with all barrels - about their lack of touting any of the real values Americans want, lack of patriotism, support of the military, lying about everything, gloomy economy, belief in the Old Media, the coming death of the Demodog party, constant pessimism, anti-religion, amorality - they name it, I've got myriad examples that I don't hesitate to bring up nowadays. I'm so very happy that over 60Million Americans agreed with me enough to elect President Bush despite the carping and lies.

After a while they just get quiet. Then, and only then, will I start to make nice noises at them and point out how that party has left them, and other Americans. Most of the libs really know it, but they don't want to admit it yet. I've just taken to hammering it in now, more than ever before.

I also agree with those acquaintances who make noises about leaving the country ...

Funny, I don't seem to have many friends any more who are liberal - wonder where they all went?

You inspired me! To be sung to the tune of O Tannenbaum!(Schadenfreude is 4 syllables, so I left out the "O"):

Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude,
How lovely is your glimmer!
Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude,
Rat hopes are ever dimmer!
Such lovely joy, to see their plight,
Their whining noises fill the night!
Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude,
How lovely is your glimmer!

Iowa/Minnesota: Enough to give an old lady permanent heart failure.

29-27 w/28 seconds to play, MN has just missed a FG. Iowa's announcers are going nutz on the radio.

Congrats for IA win!

I'm going to root for all Red states over Blue states this year. ... Easy tie breaker, too... who did best for the Prez...

That means I root against NYState in all games unless they are going against a D.C. team... I don't even know if there are any of those.

Straightening up after my little tasks. Just took a nasty spill and scuffed up my hands on the cellar floor. Growl. Nothing major - just a bit of blood and torn skin.

Still have VP Cheney in prayers. I'll have to check on the recent news to see what's up there.

Love it!

That's the tune that came to my mind but you came up with great words for it ... :-)

We have an official logo ... maybe we can adopt that as our official song.

Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude,
How lovely is your glimmer!
Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude,
Rat hopes are ever dimmer!
Such lovely joy, to see their plight,
Their whining noises fill the night!
Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude,

news before getting back to work:

apparently Cheney being said to have had a precautionary trip to hospital and all is well

Prez warning us all that the violence in Iraq is bound to accelerate before their elections. Glad they are putting Americans on notice of that.

Just got home from shopping and heard the news about VP Cheney. FoxNews is reporting that an EKG is completely normal and the check on his pacemaker (or whatever it is) shows nothing unusual. He has been suffering from a cold and the most likely cause of the shortness of breath seems to be from that.

Given his position and his medical history, I'm guessing that he gets things checked out that most of us would just brush off. Prayers continue for his health, though.

someone posted another set of german words for this a week or so ago - i wish i'd copied or marked them somehow.

Great job, MM - I'll use it, for sure - though I may put in "O Schadenfreude" instead, despite it not being quite in the same meter --- placing the "-freu-de" syllable on the same note as "-baum"

There is clearly plenty of fodder for a second and third verse (at least) for all the songsmiths and wordsmiths hereabouts to fiddle with.
