You inspired me! To be sung to the tune of O Tannenbaum!(Schadenfreude is 4 syllables, so I left out the "O"):
Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude,
How lovely is your glimmer!
Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude,
Rat hopes are ever dimmer!
Such lovely joy, to see their plight,
Their whining noises fill the night!
Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude,
How lovely is your glimmer!

Love it!
That's the tune that came to my mind but you came up with great words for it ... :-)
We have an official logo ... maybe we can adopt that as our official song.

Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude,
How lovely is your glimmer!
Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude,
Rat hopes are ever dimmer!
Such lovely joy, to see their plight,
Their whining noises fill the night!
Schadenfreude, Schadenfreude,
How lovely is your glimmer!

Our little shopping trip today involved buying new bedroom furniture, among other things. After boychild left home, we turned his bedroom into our office. We are
finally getting around to turning it back into a bedroom. We need to have some other work done in the house ... such as replacing a leaking bathtub ... and had hoped to do that part first, then replace carpet, then fix up the bedroom. But we talked with a contractor this week and it will be after the first of the year before the other work can be scheduled. We are hoping that the kids and the grandkids can all come in December. With the new babies and expanded families, we need the bedroom badly ... son and d-i-l used to sleep on the "blow-up bed" but that's no longer acceptable with the infant.
So today we bought bedroom furniture and a mattress set. Boychild had a twin bed so putting his furniture back in there is not a possibility. We got a queen-sized bed so now daughter-child is going to be jealous. The one in the room they use is a double bed. We will end up replacing it but will have to wait a bit on that.
