We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
American forces now control 80% of Fallujah. The remaining terrorists are now cornered.

Final election vote tally:
Bush = 60,480,193
Outgoing AG Ashcroft commented that there are certain judges in America which threaten National Security by ruling contradictory to the President's obligations under international treaties and agreements. Specifically, Ashcroft condemned a judge's ruling that the President's decision that Al Qa'eda members were exempt from the Geneva Conventions was wrong.
The ACLU, naturally, disagreed with Ashcroft.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
This one really wasn't a fair fight. But he was so brutal during the first confrontation, I thought I'd better put him away quickly, this time.
I'm sorry you missed the game. It was good. Except for Reggie Brown's hit.
Hey yea toots.
What's goin on???
I'm fighting a headache and I'm listening to LD retell the story of her game day.
What did you do today? Have you heard from Jimbo?
I haven't heard from Jimbo...in a while.
I napped to day, then I shopped, and napped some more, then I fixed dinner and napped again.
I took a sick day yesterday and napped also.
I am fighting off something very nasty....
Whiskey, lemon and honey.
Hubby is saying, "something is not right." in reference to the oven he installed yesterday.
Hmmm.
That does't sound good....not level???
One tiny "Imp" is sleeping in his Grandpa's chair here. His Mom went shopping and Grandpa picked him up from the Babysitter while I was at church.
"Imppy" was asleep when Grandpa picked him up,, and he's still asleep. He'll be awake all night. At age 3, putting him in bed and letting him play is not going to be an option.
He's more concerned about the wiring. The house was built in '66 and the oven is wired for '04. He thought he was using compatible wiring but wasn't sure. Now, he's nervous. He says he saw smoke where it shouldn't have been and he "smelled something." He's turned the oven off and is pulling the fuse. We're checking the house and cabinet for warm spots. Then, we'll go back and check the wiring. Again. And again.
Somehow I knew we'd be going through this.
Too cute.
So who gets to stay up with him all night???
She has been widowed for nearly 35 years and until 10 years ago we were about an hour away from her. When my mother was still living, she lived in the same town as m-i-l.
..... My brother always had my mother over for Thanksgiving dinner and it was just accepted that we would eat turkey dinner with hubby's mom. In fact, for years and years, I cooked the turkey and took it to her house so she wouldn't have to do the heavy lifting. Every year, m-i-l would say "Now if y'all want to eat dinner at Kay's brothers' with her family, I'll understand." But then there was the plaintive little sigh and the hurt look that let us know that we didn't dare. It was subtle but there was enough of it there that we couldn't miss it. I bend over backwards to keep from pulling that sort of stunt with my kids ... and hope that I don't get to the point that I do it.
I try to keep in mind that her world has changed drastically. To a great extent, she no longer gets to call the shots in her life but is controlled by her aches & pains, her physical limitations, her doctors, and life in general. I think they do these little things to try to maintain some tiny shred of control.
Praying for patience for you as you try to live your own lives and yet minister to parents at the same time.
This "sandwich generation" stuff is challenging.
That is something to be very careful about.
I imagine it will be me. Altho there's an outside chance that his Mom will pick him up. Either way, it is okay. No Biggy.
This is the DIL who has is married to #2. #2's job takes him away quite a bit. Anything I can do to ease her frustrations, I am willing to do.
Hope the extra rest you're getting will help you get back up to par soon!
Ah ha: now I know why I was so impressed with that "financial guru"... It was Larry Kudlow, subbing on Brinker's "Money Talk"...
Youse all are far too nice.
I was kind of put out that on my holiday day off, my brother brought the two little ones in for the day.
I was tired and not feeling well....so I took yesterday to try to recoup.
I became very annoyed with Brinker during the campaign, but now, I can't remember why? None the less, I was annoyed, and HE!! hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Yep, same here.
I haven't had a sick day since my gall bladder surgery in Jul.
Thanks toots.
Loved hearing about the new bedroom!!!!
Girlchild and her boyfriend have found an apartment...they are moving in on Wed.
They went to WallyMartWorld tonite to get bathroom furnishings...they are doing it in black/Chrome.
A good friend of mine took my almost 8yo daughter and three of her friends saw the Incredibles last weekend. For her, and all of them apparently, it was not too intense... my friend said he was going to see it a second time, he liked it so much.
