Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heh heh...
It was at a new fairly small church...they didn't know much about me, didn't know I had years of training...
I got up there and did that part the first time during rehearsal, no script or anything and when I finished I looked at the director to see what instructions he'd give me and he was just standing there with him mouth hanging open! ROFLOL!! It was hysterical. Even the guy that played Jesus said "Oh my goodness..."
They figured out they could depend upon me and I got all kinds of parts after that...once had a monologue on the 4th of July...was Betsy Ross. They rented a period costume for me and everthing. Then I lost my voice. LOL Not my fault!! I managed it, though...and everyone just thought my voice was full of emotion. (I went and got a cortisone shot to try to get my voice back even!)

mrsnad's gripin' that she's gotta buy me a new shotgun tuh hang this thing on...Well, I see the Marines are using that new Bennelli with the collabsible stock. Whatever happened to the Remington 870, which had almost as much tradition and loyalty behind it as the Colt M1911?

Hi!
I'm being confrontational here today...or confrontational for me. Kinda scary, it is.
I've been wandering a lot outside the Hole in the last few weeks.

I did want to comment on this.... I just have a field gun I can't justify mounting anything to, but the idea of a flashlight just sounds really cool.

I was wondering how far you were going to take the argument about being submissive... Can one honestly argue about the virtue of being submissive? ;~D

What a lovely display of all those colors of mums! Mine in the front yard were little brown sticks and blobs last week. Joseph cut them back while I was putting up my Christmas lights. They already had some new growth coming in at ground level, though, getting ready for next year!
