Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner there may wait...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hehehe, I have done my ill deed for the day... reminded someone of Yatta... which is actually a really common expression in anime and one that never fails to remind me of dancing... leaf-clad... singers...
Eep. I'd better go poke my eyes out.

Yikers... I've been sidelined for the last hour or so by a flaming liberal here at da waterin' hole. Much discussion was had, with little (of course) substance acknowledged by the losing side.
He actually argued for a while that he thought republicans were stupid because of people like Patty Murray in THAT republican party.
I could only blink incomprehensibly at that.
Waddya say to stupid sh!* like that?

that's sorta what I said. I said "huh? Patty Murray is a democrat, and not only that she possibly the first actually retarded person ever elected to a high state office. Perhaps the democrat party can make something of that... "

Good morning!
Guess I missed out on a pretty good debate. It was a long night, and decided to watch in the bedroom...thought this was the "domestic policy" debate, and when they opened with "Security" and J. F'n went straight to "do it smarter, better, faster, with French help" (I paraphrase with bias), I went straight to the DVD book.
I thought I owned Secondhand Lions. Apparently not.
So I went to sleep to the sound track of Casablanca.
Found this this morning...much sign of Red Shift :)

Sorry, Corin, VA is still pink-bordered, reflecting a Bush 3% edge...but guys (and others)...look at Californ-eye-aay! Baby blue...means Bush is less than 10% behind...and the percentages show a 6% undecided gap...is there hope?

A note of interest:
the site (run by a Democrat) where I get these maps is no longer linking to a Projected Final Map, which tracked current data trends and consistently showed
El Jefe with a solid 320+ EV win. Could be the site-owner finds it too depressing.
