The Hobbit Hole XVI - Still round the corner there may wait...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Still round the corner there may wait...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Anime is the ban of my credit card. It seems like if I get to near BestBuy some dvd's get charged to it. Yeah, got to like Milly. As I have gotten older I wonder why the more spastic/neurotic female characters ever appealed to me.

Now adays I like the ones that can take earth shattering disasters with a 'oh my, that is kind of bad' attitude.

The way to fix the supply of anime issue is to set your computer downloading a bunch and then go read a couple books.

I would rather be one of the girls who can deal with the end of the world than the sort who thinks it's the end of the world when The Hero doesn't like her cooking.

Besides, sidekick girls get matched up with the sidekick guys and usually they're a little less - um - unstable than the hero.

Any suggestions for good, downloadable anime? I'll fire up bittorrent tonight and by tomorrow I'll have some to watch...

the audio play of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"

Which version do you have?

I used to have a four-cassette version, but my old car's stereo ate the first tape...

I was out running errands today, and saw a bright yellow New Beetle. The woman had large eyelashes painted around the headlights, and somehow that reminded me of you. :)

don't know if one of those would be a good thing 'round these parts

I'm planning on putting it so that she can go out to the sunroom from the house (and back).

Hmmm
/me tries to remember Jenb's tastes in anime

You could try Detecive Academy Q
http://animesuki.com/series.php/178.html

I really liked the live action version of Great Teacher Onizuka:
http://drama.afraid.org/bt/japan-tv/torrents/gto_dvd_ep01-12_special_[ah&jtv]_movie_[jd].torrent

Gotta love Lupin:
http://a.scarywater.net/infusion/%5BInf%5DLupin%20the%203rd%20First%20Contact.avi.torrent

Personnally I enjoyed Slam Dunk (mmm love the oldschool stuff): http://animesuki.com/series.php/86.html

Also great old school, I have been enjoy Touch a lot: http://animesuki.com/series.php/170.html

A good Manga that is just starting to be an anime is Beck. I don't have the link to the torrent handy but there is one out there. I enjoyed that one a lot. Not sure how the anime will be since only #1 is out so far.

And I might as well toss in some more peer pressure to try PGSM: http://tvnihon.dragoneye.ca/torrents/[T-N]PGSM_Acts1-3_DVD.torrent

I loved Hair's cat sleepin' in the bed with me at her house...think when I come to see you Her Highness will snuggle up with me?

I used to have a cat and he used to curl up in my hair! My hair was super long, down past my waist. I slept with it folded up over my head and he thought that a was dandy place to sleep at night! LOL

Was it a new Beetle or a classic? Don't matter really...I love 'em both. But I want to get a classic and let the jedis and my husband putz around in the shop with it...I just think it would be a valuable time for them.

I'm here for the debate too...Steve is already home, but he went to walmart to get some popcorn, a protracter and a box of little debbies! I cried uncle on it.

Matthew's been reading about Jay Hawk Helicopters...really is fascinating! Great pics in this book and age appropriate for a nine year old.

Maybe if you stay long enough. She usually hides from strangers but if you're around long enough for her to get used to ya, she might.

Heh. It would help. Just make sure it's chunk light tuna packed in spring water with the usual amount of salt. Otherwise, she won't touch it.
