Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers. Grandma passed about 2 hours after I posted. She waited for mom to step out to make phone calls and just slipped away. It was exactly how we hoped. I'll be heading home to AZ sometime this afternoon to help with arrangements. Thank you all again for your support. My heart is full with thanks for good people such as you.

kinda like Thunderbirds except the puppets are better. I saw a trailer for a movie that is based on the Thunderbirds. I think it is also called The Thunderbirds. Bill Paxton plays the father of the family that 'keeps the peace', or something like that, but when their base is attacked, it's left to the youngest brother (who all the other brothers think can't handle it) to rescue them. At least that's the gist of the movie that I got from the trailer!

((((Lil Freeper)))) I'll keep your Grandma, and your family, in my prayers. A peaceful death is the best prayer we can offer for anyone in this situation. I know our family was comforted to know that Mama went that way. She was 85, so she too had lived a long and full life and was ready to go.
What is her first name, so I can put her on our Parish Prayer list?

OK. I just saw that the accident was on the Keys bridge. How on earth did the driver escape since the cab is what's dangling down toward the water?
Am I funkling yet?

I cannot believe this piece of impacted fecal matter has the ~audacity~ to quote scripture while waving that crooked finger at the audience. What a nasty, wretched lump of spew-chunk.Shoot, Ruthy, you should really learn not to hold back your true feelings! You might get an ulcer, or something ;o)

((((Lil Freeper))) Just read the post about your Grandma. She's resting in the arms of the Lord, so that's a comfort. I'll still put your family on the Prayer List. Even though you knew it was coming, and didn't dread it, y'all will still feel the loss, keenly.

You showing the bothers FMA? Have they seen any of it, or will you have to start over?I started over...only Bilbo ended up coming, though. I think he likes it...
We only fit in three episodes, but it was actually good to rewatch them. Made a lot more sense the second time through.

I used fresh mushrooms and cooked them with the other veggies. I eat two when I have them for breakfast! I'll have to try those one of these mornings. Might be a good thing to make on a Sunday when I have more time!
Having a frittata this morning...with scallions, mushrooms and green pepper, and topped with homemade salsa - I made some last night. Turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself!

Did you get the lawn taken care of?
Yeah, all the episodes make more sense the second time through, I'm finding! Now you can go on and watch more...
Ear still hurts, but hopefully it'll get better now. I have to remember to take my sister to her work at 11:30. Think I'll stop at the bank and close my savings account after that.

The lawn is mowed! Did a buncha weeding, too. And harvested the very first cherry tomato.
Closing out the bank account, eh? Ugh...there are so many things that have to be done when moving! I guess it's a little easier since you've been at home...but there ARE a lot of steps to go through!
