The Hobbit Hole XIII - Let them pass! Let them pass!
See our freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net home page! ^

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

The worst is over.

Not until I see Dan Blather crying on election night. I shoulda watched, but I the dog didn't do anything to deserve kickin' today.

Also loved the booing reception at Fenway park and the flubbed pitch-- that he still managed to blame on the soldier-- unfargin'believable.

Kerry also had the Secret Service bounce the GI out of his VIP box, and into the back of the stadium, about halfway through the second inning.

The guy was supposed to throw the first pitch, but Kerry showed up at the last moment, and became the VIP pitcher. Then he flubs his pitch, which should have been an easy one midway to the mound. At least that's the description I heard.

Kerry's just your typical aristocratic airhead. Last week, he talked about how he liked hunting deer with his double-barrel shotgun (if the gun exists, it's probably a $40K Purdy) by crawling through the woods on his stomach. I think he's getting Vietnam and deer hunting confused. Didn't spend much time at either one.

Do you notice that beneath the artificial glitz, RATs are either phonies or slimebags? Or dingbat billionaires, like Tereeezzzzaaaa.

"She could play the Jamie Lee Curtis role in True Lies"

LOL! I forgot about that until you mentioned it :)

The worst is over.

Must disagree... this was just the opening salvo. It is an interesting point though, that the "softer tone" was all bullshi'ite. They've got Michelle Moore roaming the floor and getting sound bites. They might be shooting themselves in the footses, if we lets them.

Maybe that's what the black pantsuit looks like when reversed?

heheheh....yeah but their Golden Boy's speech is over and now Kerry's gotta sink or swim on his own.

Isn't gonna happen. Nothing short of massive vote fraud will get Kerry into office.

Please God...no John Kerry...

And that is not beyond them. They are readying the election night lawsuits now. They will do whatever it takes. We must be vigilant.

Holey smokes... any confirmation on that? If so he needs to be beaten mercilessly with it.

I was suspicious that the soldier was there because he was supposed to throw out the pitch, but was upstaged by Kerry at the last minute. That was just a guess though... and I figured that this was part of why people were booing Kerry when he stepped out.

You know... I have another thought... if the situation were reversed and it had been President Bush that showed up for a last-minute change in the itinerary... I will *bet money* that Dubya would have let the soldier go ahead and throw the pitch anyway... and would have simply arranged to get a catcher's mit and be the catcher for the ball.

I'd bet on that.

OK...I'll wait till later in the week to hear from you (this is my week off...so I'm in and out at odd hours). Yeah, I saw JimRob was coming on August 8 -- which is an already occupied date on the calendar for us. Alas.
