New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
That is an awesome dragonfly!!
Best wishes to you and Mr. Schloh! ;o)
Congratulations to you to the happy couple! Congratulations to the happy freeper who is being waited on by the kitchen help!
I deliberately worded the questions to exclude air-raid-only actions; apparently not well enough :)
I'm pretty sure all the SOPAC territory taken by ground troops was retaken, having been previously captured by Japan, and not previously Japanese Homeland territory.
Guess I have more work to do...
Morning! Doing some garden work today, also organizing my 'work' room. It's still a jumble of unpacked boxes. Might hit IKEA for some bookshelves later on.
Safe travels.
Rainy days and Mondays...
g'mornin' folks. Can't stay. Gots an all day meeting in the People's Republic of Charlottesville. Oh well, at least it's raining.
I'll have to catch up tonite. Cable went out last night around 10-ish. Don't know when it came back on.
Congrats and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Schlohweiss.
CONGRATULATIONS!
Good morning!
Congratulations to Myranda! Best wishes to them both...
Well, we actually sort of made up before the gig, and it was a fun one, though some of us were kinda tired. It was for a 50th anniversary party. The only downside is that there were lots of musicians there, so we ended up ditching the idea of repeating the same set twice. ;-) They knew a lot of the tunes, so we couldn't get away with it, though it usually woulda worked since we were just background music. Heh...
But it went well. I don't know how much we made, though, since it was for family of one band member (his brother's wife's parents), and I think they just kinda said "pay us whatever you think is reasonable". We'll get our cut Tuesday.
Oh, and Ben and his fiance have set a date - April 16th. So...now I'm kinda hopin' we get lots more gigs to help pay for airfare! Also means I will be available for mooting in the Tacoma area somewhere around then, I hope.
Good morning!
Ok, how do I know it's Monday? Because it's raining, and my ear's still sore. Because my car was out of gas, and when I got to the gas station - which is almost ten minutes in the wrong direction from work - the pump didn't work. Go inside, find out that they only have premium. Thanks for putting out a sign. Grr. Put in three gallons of premium, I'll tank up another time.
Get to work. Thankfully, nobody's here yet. Trash hasn't been emptied in two weeks and it's starting to smell. Email from the boss says he won't be in, grr, because I was thinking about taking Wednesday off too but I need to give him more notice than that.
The doctor's office opens in twenty minutes. Hope I can get in fairly quickly.
Congrats to all of you!
Hehh....happy Monday?
On the bright side, you only have three days left at the most, no?
Yes, there's always a bright side.
Oh, I didn't mention trying to drive down the road one-handed with a hot thing held to my ear with the other hand!
On the plus side it should be quiet here for another couple hours.
Oh, yeah, and I have a dentist appointment today, that just caps things off.
No pun intended?
At least it's cooler here this week! Supposed to be in the mid seventies all week. I can deal with that juuuuust fine! :-)
Good morning WN! We were out last night when you got somewhere to post, hope you are till around.
Best wishes to Mr and Mrs. Schlo!
Our place is open to you if you want to stay here all or part of the time you're here! - As long as you don't have pet allergies! ;~D
No pet allergies here! ;-)
In any case, I hope we can meet for pints of some sort...and maybe seafood! I wanted to get some sooooo bad when we were in Maine, but most of my brothers don't like seafood and I didn't want to go alone.
Fly through Denver and schedule a nice long layover...
Got an appointment with the doc this afternoon. Hurrah!
Let us know as your plans develop!
