The Hobbit Hole XIII - Let them pass! Let them pass!
See our freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net home page! ^

Posted on 07/13/2004 9:49:23 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Well, I'll be out of internet range again after tonight. But, I wanted to be sure and drop in and chat tonight... although they almost have dinner ready for me.

Mr.Schloh is an accomplished cook it seems. Trained in Europe. He has made me something with pasta. They are dishing it out now. :-)

"'twas a kit granddad got elf-boy for his birthday."

I always liked putting stuff like that together. My first kits were Aurora models of Batman and Superman, and then I had a car one.

Same stuff. It's the kind of material used for the structural pieces and other hidden stress areas.

I think I've seen some models of dinosaurs like that on sale in the museum gift store. Cool stuff.

Probably the same company. The literature with this one showed some dinosaurs.

My dad got this one from the Smithsonian whe he was there in May.

being that we live in Austin that shouldn't be a problem. Mom said she could do it in the next couple of weeks. Mr. schloh and I are looking forward to it.
