Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

The skies are extremely busy this afternoon...old fighter planes and F16s roaring by...
Getting ready for Memorial Day Weekend, I suppose.

My mom uses that on my brothers. Twice now she's forgotten to put a clipper on and shaved a patch right down to the skull. It's very funny since it doesn't happen to me.

We're gonna see "Day After Tomorrow". It looks dreadful, but with great disaster effects. My main interest in that movie is whether it will be better or worse than 10.5 :)

Thanks for the recipe! :) I eat tortillas with hot salsa a lot, maybe I'll try that instead one of these times.

First time she was horrified. Second time she laughed. The brothers just ended up with tighter buzzes than they'd wanted.

Ugh, we did "Peter Pan" last night. I only sort of watched. I had my laptop and was writing. Maybe it's better if you actually pay attention, but the kid actors were driving me insane.I liked it better than the previous non-Disney versions I've seen--at least Peter was straight in this one! :)

The shower curtain is of some concern to me...it's STAINED from the water where it hung down in the jedis bathwater. Stained BROWN. Our water is RANK. I'll make sure you have bottled water on hand to drink!

Personally, I like the Mary Martin play-version. We used to have that, taped from tv. The best part were the commercials. It must have been from the late 80s. Funniest commercials ever.
Grr, wish my sister would call so I knew what time we were going to the movies! I'd like to take off early, but if she's not home yet, there's no point.

That brand looks familiar. Thanks!
With this diet, I've been going to the natural foods place once a week or so. I'll check it out, probably tomorrow. They also have tortillas, I think, and fancy salsas...though I usually just use the cheap brands for that. I already have cheddar and such...that'd be a good quick lunch or dinner!

My sister just said Jim better be sure NOT to get that version. Mary Martin creeps her out. ;-)
