The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I think the shears are a great idea WM. I am out of funds here though so I can't help you with them now. How are you looking on funds at your end?

I can handle 50. If anybody wants some of them, let me know. You can pay when you're able.

I just got back an email from them. I can phone in an order Monday, but they will then be closed until the 19th, and will ship after that. If anybody wants one of those "super snips", freepmail me, and I'll include it in the order. For those of you making your own care packages, freepmail me with the amount you want. Like I said, I can handle this purchase, and you can pay me when you're able.

Oh good grief...I just brought in the mail.

Papa (Nana's deceased husband) is now getting mail here. Just got a free set of labels from some charity.

He's received two offers for life insurance. We're tryin' to figger out how to apply and file a claim at the same time...

Those snail-spammers are the worst. But it would be... appropriate, somehow, if you could get the life insurance.

Is it warming up a little up north? Going to Syracuse next week.

Don't know about next week, but it is gorgeous today!! We had a little bit of snow and ice yesterday, but it warmed up overnight and the ice is gone. It is sunny out there right now!

Howdy howdy...

Did I miss anything?

It's warm here. Roads are slushy. They were BAAAD last night, so we didn't go to the jam...watched "Secondhand Lions" instead. It was an odd mix of realism and fantasy, but entertaining just the same, mostly because there were such good actors in it.

I got groceries, so I'm planning dinner. There were roasts for cheap! I'm so excited... Beef - it's what's for dinner. Woo-hoo!

Also we went to the bookstore and the Salvation Army place this morning and I got another big stack o' paperbacks!

Seriesly tho, I'm gonna try to make it. Just don't know how.

Hey! That's good news! I thought last time you posted on the subject you said you were not going to make it. I'm glad it's still possible!

Okay, ya said ya were goin' to be checkin' back. And I'm crackin' up here over somethin'! Now that I've moved myself into sleepin' in your room. Your closet is my closet now, etc. All I had left to take to the middle room for you is the stuff on the walls and shelves. So, I started takin' down a little at a time and findin' places for it and I got around to the last side of the room and I found this on your wall!

Surrounded by all that other stuff I had never noticed it. I gotta tell ya.... I cracked up!!! I had to sit down on the floor I wuz laughin' so hard! I gotta go show this picture to Mrs. Molina and tell her about it!

But, I just gotta know, did this help to stave off bein' homesick .... or make it WORSE?

Ha! I didn't even notice Schlohweiss' tagline Suzi!!! Funny thing is, she is now living in the town that she aptly nicknamed "the butt-crack of the universe!" I guess she's changed her mind in the last 4 years.
