Monday, November 3, 2003
A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.
The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?
The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.
Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.
DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.
Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

I don't know much about radar - perhaps these more knowledgeable posters I'm pinging can help - I'm curious about the plane going completely off radar at 4000 feet - does that mean it blew up?

The 53-minute tape was recorded this month and acquired from a seller over the Net, the Al-Ansaar news agency says. What, on eBay?

"The 6 off-duty Egyptian crew members"
First I've seen this mentioned. There was a plane crash after takeoff in Jamaica Bay NYC right after 9/11 and I think it did some similar manuevers.
To: mhking
LOL. Sounds about right.
Some of those caves are pretty. After all of this research, I might have to tour a couple of the more touristy ones. :)
If you'd told me 2 weeks ago I'd be spending hours looking into caves, I would have laughed. :)

Anybody got a link to the earlier story on this that talked about the debris field? If memory serves, the article cited said there had not been any large portions of the plane recovered at that time; only thousands of smaller pieces were seen.

Flight 587 . . . American Airlines(?) . . . Yes, and the press/officials did similar maneuvers also - coming up with every lame excuse in the book to avoid the "T" word . . .

Good points. There was also a recent alert about air terrorism in SA hours before the crash.

Belly project:
Attack is suppose to be from the Belly of the Eagle.
Picture JP had loaded hat the word NEXT Coded to read NXT
NXT Energy has a project called Belly River. Belly River has a network of caves and tunnels along that river map I posted.
Many of the AQ messages had water/river/sea coded for a reference.
But, I am just hunting and pecking.

Ok, granted the article was posted here from Debka , but some interesting points are made about the circumstances.

Going off the radar at 4000 feet doesn't necessarily mean that it blew up. Some radar lose the signal at a minimum altitude, depending on location between the radar and the target and whatever obstacle that could be in the way to block the return of the signal.

Yes it was there. Very weird, of course. I'm gone for the evening. God Bless everyone.

Ok, granted the article was posted here from Debka
Now your post makes sense.

Taken from the article & link I just posted above:
"The incident is absolutely not the result of a terrorist act," added Ahmed Maher, the foreign minister.
Airport officials reported no distress call before the plane disappeared off the radar after take-off. Helicopters, boats and local divers were recovering wreckage from the plane, including floating suitcases and debris. By last night only six bodies had been found.
On board the flight were 133 French passengers and a Morocccan and a Japanese, both women. Thirteen Egyptian and Moroccan crew also died.
It emerged last night that one woman passenger - Fatima Hjiaj, 47 - made two phone calls to her nephew. The first said there was a problem with the aircraft during taxiing before take-off. The second, as it was crashing, described another problem during the brief flight.
Mohamed Hjiaj, of Moroccan origin, said: "She said, 'Something's happening to the flight', then there were screams from the air hostess standing next to her and the line cut."

Mohamed Hjiaj, of Moroccan origin, said: "She said, 'Something's happening to the flight', then there were screams from the air hostess standing next to her and the line cut."
This sounds a lot like the famous blooper from the old "Lone Ranger" show: The townspeople were being held captive inside a coal mine by the bad guys, when one of the townsfolk says, "Listen, I hear a white horse coming!"
How exactly could they tell from a phone call to her nephew (almost certainly not recorded) that the screams he heard on the call were "from the air hostess" and that she was "standing" near his aunt?

One wonders whether what the flight attendant was screaming was, "J---s lady, shut the phone off!".

And if the flight had just taken off, everyone would be strapped into their seats; flight attendants included.
If a flight attendant really was standing in an aisle, perhaps the identity of that person needs to be confirmed by authorities...and investigated?
