From manifestos to mainstream: Understanding the far-Right ‘Great Replacement’ theory
MSNBC ^ | Sept. 20, 2025 | Ali Velshi

The "Great Replacement" theory is a conspiracy theory that envisions a scheme to replace white, Christian populations in Western nations with nonwhite immigrants. It was once confined to the fringes of the far-Right. Now, the theory seems to have taken root in the mainstream of the GOP.

Not a theory.

Grok:

“United States

While explicit admissions from U.S. liberals about immigrants directly boosting Democratic electoral power are rare (likely due to political sensitivity), Democratic strategists and party analyses have openly discussed how immigration-driven demographic changes will favor left-leaning politics. Here are key examples:

Ruy Teixeira and John Judis (Democratic strategists): In their 2002 book The Emerging Democratic Majority, Teixeira (a prominent Democratic pollster) and Judis argued that rising immigration from Latin America, Asia, and other regions would create a “new progressive coalition” by increasing the share of non-white voters, who tend to support Democrats on issues like social welfare and civil rights. They projected this would lock in Democratic dominance in national elections for decades, stating: “The minority vote... will be crucial to Democratic success.” This view has influenced Democratic policy, including pushes for immigration reform to accelerate naturalization.

Democratic operatives on 2013 immigration reform: During debates on the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act, Democratic leaders and allies highlighted its potential to add millions of new voters aligned with party priorities. A Politico analysis quoted Democratic strategist Simon Rosenberg: “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a new American electorate,” referring to the pathway to citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants, most of whom were expected to vote Democratic based on polling of Latino communities. Senate
Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) pushed the bill aggressively, later reflecting in 2014 that it was essential for “the Democratic Party” to secure future support from naturalized citizens.

These statements reflect a broader Democratic recognition that immigrants and their descendants disproportionately support progressive policies, with studies showing naturalized immigrants voting Democratic at rates 20-30% higher than the national average.

United Kingdom

The UK provides clearer examples from Labour Party figures, where immigration policy was explicitly linked to reshaping the electorate in a left-leaning direction.

Peter Mandelson (former Labour Cabinet minister): In a 2013 interview, Mandelson admitted that under Tony Blair’s government (1997-2007), Labour deliberately expanded immigration by sending out “search parties” to recruit migrants from abroad. He described this as part of a strategy to boost diversity and economic growth, but critics (including UKIP leader Nigel Farage) interpreted it as an effort to “rub the Right’s nose in diversity” by altering the country’s demographic makeup, making conservative arguments obsolete and favoring Labour’s multicultural platform. Mandelson did not deny the political intent, stating the policy aimed to “change the country” for the better. Labour’s net migration rose from 48,000 in 1997 to 273,000 by 2007, contributing to a more diverse voter base that supported Labour in subsequent elections.

Andrew Neather (former Labour speechwriter): In a 2009 Evening Standard article, Neather revealed internal discussions where Labour’s open immigration policy post-1997 was partly designed to “rub the Right’s nose in diversity” and increase the non-white population to counter conservative dominance. He quoted party insiders saying it would “send a huge red light to traditional Labour voters” but ultimately create a more progressive electorate. This admission fueled debates about Labour’s electoral strategy.

Other International Examples

Sweden (Social Democrats): In the early 2000s, Social Democratic leaders like former Prime Minister Göran Persson supported high immigration levels, arguing it would sustain the welfare state and foster a more egalitarian society. A 2022 CEPR study cited Persson-era policies as intentionally leveraging immigrants’ left-wing voting preferences (immigrants vote for left parties at rates 10-15% higher than natives) to maintain Social Democratic majorities. Persson stated in 2005 that “immigration is the lifeblood of our social model,” implying its role in preserving progressive governance.

Canada (Liberal Party):

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has repeatedly emphasized immigration’s role in building a “progressive” Canada. In 2019, he told The Economist that high immigration targets (over 400,000 annually) would “ensure our economy and society evolve in a way that supports our values,” including multiculturalism and left-leaning policies. Liberal strategists have noted this creates a voter base favoring the party, with immigrants and their children voting Liberal at 60-70% rates in urban ridings.

These examples illustrate how liberals worldwide view immigration not just as an economic or humanitarian issue, but as a means to reinforce progressive political majorities through demographic and voting shifts. However, recent backlashes (e.g., in the 2024 U.S. election) have prompted some reevaluation.”

When the country opens up its borders, theories like these find a home.

All you have to do is watch TV commercials. They portray a White free world. Thank God that is not reality.

From theory to undeniable reality; Understanding the far-leftist ‘Great Replacement’ plan.

They hate Native Born Americans and want to import slaves from other countries to replace them.

First bring in as many criminals as you can.

Next let them run rampant while prosecuting any Native Born that fights back in anyway.

Target the children especially.

Let the criminals take over.

Let this continue for several years.

Now move in with military forces loyal to you and wipe out the criminals and any Native Born that is stupid enough to get in your way. You need to seize all weapons at this point.

Now repeat step one. After a couple of run thoroughs the Native Born population will be dead or so cowed that they will not react when you import your slave population.

Success.

Anarcho-tyranny - A situation where a government fails to enforce laws against serious crimes or disorder (anarchy) while simultaneously over-regulating or oppressing law-abiding citizens with excessive rules or force (tyranny).

Everytime I’ve heard the term its been from the Left talking about how the Right are using it. And of course the Left then want to define exactly what the Right means by the term so they can add goofy aspects to these fictional views that they can then object to the larger issue of illegal immigration with the kind of dishonesty they need to try to score points.

America will be the LAST to go, but it’s still going to happen.

We can only fend off the invading hordes for so long, thanks to Socialist Democrats and all the ONE WORLD IDIOTS they have managed to elect into office!

And things have sped up exponentially in my short 65 years. I’ve done my best, but I won’t be around for The End Game. :(

I visited my credit union today. As I looked around, every clerk at the counter, and every account rep was Hispanic. Not a single token white.

And they own a yacht in the Mediterranean.
