Media decries 'cancel culture' as those celebrating Charlie Kirk's assassination online continue getting fired

Professionals across many industries have been terminated, suspended for gleeful social media posts....

The legacy media is slamming what many outlets have described as a "cancel culture" campaign from the right targeting those who've been fired for celebrating the assassination of conservative icon Charlie Kirk.

However, several outlets are downplaying the callousness of the social media posts in question.

"After Kirk’s killing[,] a growing chorus of conservatives wants his critics ostracized or fired," a headline from The Associated Press read Sunday.

The AP wrote, "After years of complaints from the right about ‘cancel culture’ from the left, some conservatives are seeking to upend the lives and careers of those who disparaged Charlie Kirk after his death. They’re going after companies, educators, news outlets, political rivals and others they judge as promoting hate speech. As elected officials and conservative influencers lionize Kirk as a warrior for free expression who championed provocative opinions, they’re also weaponizing the tactics they saw being used to malign their movement — the calls for firings, the ostracism, the pressure to watch what you say."

On Friday, The New York Times published a report about what it called "the widespread and fast-moving campaign of naming-and-shaming."

"The killing of Mr. Kirk, a hugely popular activist closely aligned with President Trump, was immediately met on the right by a tidal wave of grief-stricken rage on Wednesday afternoon — one that quickly turned into a thirst for vengeance. Several online social media personalities, some with enormous followings, called almost in unison for ‘war’ to be waged against those on the left they perceive to be their enemies" the Times wrote.

Employers have a right to know who is working for them.

This is not cancel culture.

How interesting. It was sure OK to cancel people when it was our side being canceled!

Democrats must be purged from all institutions. If that is “cancel culture” so be it.

It was an assassination, not a “killing.”

Celebrating murder of someone peaceful like Charlie is not acceptable. Some of the idiots are losing high paying jobs...good to see.

Saul Alinsky’s 12 Rules for Radicals

RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”

If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)

They are also complaining that we are also raising the lies and disinformation they have been spreading about Charlie Kirk, President Trump, and conservatives as well.

Problem is, we can show video of the lied and calls for violence while they try to gaslight that the Democrats killed in Minnesota were killed by a conservative that was appointed by Tim Walz to some position, but was fired and committed those acts of violence against the Democrat lawmakers.

Democrats, and their media unofficial members of the party have to lie, it's how they must operate, because they can't speak the truth, because the truth exposes who they really are. That would spell doom for them.

“It ain’t no fun when the rabbit got the gun”

They cnnot distingush between refusing to use the wrong pronouns and celebrating/encouraging cold blooded murder of the innocent. They got away with lionizing Luigi Mangione. That emboldened them.

Most employers, particularly professional organizations and government entities have in their hiring contract what amounts to a morals clause. Even if it’s not called that.

Generally speaking these people who are cheering on publicly the murder of political opponents and those who disagree with them are in direct violation of most of these employment clauses.

Whereas the left cancel culture is destroying people’s lives for basic opinions such as men are not women and sexually mutilating children is wrong.

In addition these people who are losing their jobs, that’s all that’s happening. The left cancel culture tries to destroy the families and threaten the lives of those who simply disagree with them and are not celebrating something heinous like murder.

That is a very significant difference. Obviously nothing the morons on the left could understand.

Anyone remember Tuffy the Clown?

How about that father who had his career destroyed for wearing an ONN t shirt coaching his boys’ football game? How about the ultimate cancelling of Charlie Kirk by a democrat party assassin?

The First Amendment prohibits the government from prohibiting you from saying things that are offensive to others. It does not prohibit them from being offended or the consequences for that to you by them.

Even though the veil of the internet may protect your identity and embolden you it will not protect you from being fired for actions not in keeping with the image your employer desires. It will also not protect you from getting smacked in the face by anyone who loses their temper with you for being mouthy. In which case, they to may suffer consequences but sometimes that is worth the price and you will remain smacked.

My civics teacher long ago tried to explain that your rights stop where mine begin. It is not all encompassing as a definition but seems to be a good guide. Some have never learned what being decent and civil to others means but somehow expect it from others. Strange that.
