What’s really in your sushi? Parasites. They're common in fish, pork, produce, pets, and soil. Exposure is inevitable

One of my Korean friends told me that a picture of a Korean farmhouse with pots of Kim Chi outside in the snow is the Korean equivalent of our Currier and Ives ethos.
I do not like sauerkraut. Go figure.
I get Mother-in-law kimchee from Whole Foods.
Fish heads...
Is it fishy? I’m not crazy about the ones that are too fishy.
Yup
As well as other things
Sushi is not safe to eat. Lots of little worms in it.
If it’s left out for a while the worms hatch…..you can see them.
Same with salmon. Raw salmon has worms in it too:
“Researchers analyzed hundreds of global scientific studies published since 1967 to assess the number of worms — both Anisakis and a related genus called Pseudoterranova — per individual fish. Overall, the data included more than 55,000 specimens of 215 fish species.”

**If God wanted us to eat raw fish, he would never have invented fire.**
John 21:1-13
Jesus Christ had bread and fish on a fire, when he called his disciples to “come and dine”.
I can handle sauerkraut in light doses. Anything more then a quarter cup and there will be trouble. It is a shame for I love it so.
So it’s just like Captain D’s?
the local Shell fuel station has pretty good sushi. The day-old in-store stock has a good mark down, usually on Monday mornings.
My husband has to have it every New Year, with roast pork.
And yes, he’s not moderate, so there is trouble :-)
Some kind of fish, I would guess.
I would check Catturd out for parasites, though.
What about tuna.
There’s the thought that very lightly cooked tuna is a big treat. Seems dangerous to me.
One day years ago i was skipping through a GQ magazine at the library when i came across an article titled something like “The day i pulled a 60 foot monster out of my ass”
that was the day i told myself to never eat sushi...
Cook the tuna more than “lightly.”
Worms are in fish tuna also.
Freezing usually kills the worms.
Canning kills them.
Bait.
Please check your state food handling laws regarding handling “raw” fish. The seafood has to be frozen at a certain freezing temp for a predetermined time in hours. Either very, very low temp for about 15 hrs or at freezing temp for a longer period of time. That will kill parasites if present. Done before it is handled and served.
Check the food handling laws and make sure the manager of the restaurant knows how to buy untainted fish .
