No joke: Wired wants you to believe this is a bad thing.
The Young, Inexperienced Engineers Aiding Elon Musk’s Government Takeover Engineers between 19 and 24, most linked to Musk’s companies, are playing a key role as he seizes control of federal infrastructure. WWW.WIRED.COM https://www.wired.com/story/elon-musk-government-young-engineers/ "Elon Musk's Government Takeover"
Gotta love the pea-sized brains over at Wired.
Elon Musk's takeover of federal government infrastructure is ongoing, and at the center of things is a coterie of engineers who are barely out of — and in at least one case, purportedly still in — college.
Elon isn't taking over anything. He's been brought in as a contractor on the authority of the president to audit wasteful spending, corruption, and incompetency in the agencies that report to the president.
If people don't like that, then maybe we should have stuck with the three branches of government in the Constitution instead of letting past presidents circumvent it by creating the swampy, three-letter agencies.
Wired then takes a shot at billionaire conservative donor Peter Thiel.
Most have connections to Musk and at least two have connections to Musk's longtime associate Peter Thiel, a cofounder and chairman of the analytics firm and government contractor Palantir who has long expressed opposition to democracy.
They spout off these words as if any of this is scary.
Peter Thiel and Elon are both co-founders of PayPal. Vice President JD Vance worked for Thiel at his venture capital company Mithril Capital. Palantir and offshoots like Anduril (you'll notice an amazing Lord of the Rings theme here) aim to revolutionize American defense instead of relying on the status quo of the post-WW2 order that has become inefficient and corrupt.
And as for opposition to "democracy," that buzzword is so 2024.
Now we get to the whiz kids hired by Elon: WIRED has identified six young men — all apparently between the ages of 19 and 24 ... who have little to no government experience and are now playing critical roles in Musk's so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) project, tasked by executive order with 'modernizing Federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity.'
The engineers are Akash Bobba, Edward Coristine, Luke Farritor, Gautier Cole Killian, Gavin Kliger, and Ethan Shaotran.
Let's talk about just a couple of these guys, starting with Luke. Luke is a verified genius who won an award last year for deciphering the singed remains of scrolls found in the ruins of Pompeii, the Roman city that was destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Some whiz kids figured out how to read charred scrolls from Pompeii and we have the text from the first scroll 🤯 Some of our regular readers may remember that we reported on the Vesuvius Challenge last fall, but I bet you didn't expect someone to actually figure out a way to read lava-burned scrolls so quickly! NOTTHEBEE.COM https://notthebee.com/article/these-scrolls-were-flash-fried-by-the-eruption-of-mt-vesuvius-2000-years-ago-scientists-are-finally-able-to-read-them-for-the-first-time It only took Luke and two European partners 10 months to develop technology to read 2,000-year-old scrolls that were petrified by a pyroclastic flow.
That guy is now tasked with sifting through code, accounts, and patterns at the US Treasury. 👇
Now let's look at a few of the other guys.
This is how WIRED itself describes them:
Bobba has attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he was in the prestigious Management, Entrepreneurship, and Technology program. According to a copy of his now-deleted LinkedIn obtained by WIRED, he was an investment engineering intern at the Bridgewater Associates hedge fund as of last spring, and previously an intern at both Meta and Palantir.
Oh no, another genius engineer with impressive experience in Silicon Valley for his young age! 😱 Kliger, whose LinkedIn lists him as a special advisor to the director of OPM and who is listed in internal records reviewed by WIRED as a special advisor to the director for information technology, attended UC Berkeley until 2020; most recently, according to his LinkedIn, he worked for the AI company Databricks. His Substack includes a post titled 'The Curious Case of Matt Gaetz: How the Deep State Destroys Its Enemies,' as well as another titled 'Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense: The Warrior Washington Fears.'
BAAAAAAAAASED.
I'm glad that WIRED has proven how effective Elon is. He hired competent young men who are eager to prove themselves, have no loyalty to the Swamp, and understand how the Swamp has been weaponized against Americans.
But WIRED wasn't attempting to change our minds. Instead, it was sending out a signal to the faithful NPCs, who immediately swapped out their programming to complain about Elon:
Unfortunately for WIRED, the credibility of the fake news is totally gone and no one listens to them anymore.
'What we're seeing is unprecedented in that you have these actors who are not really public officials gaining access to the most sensitive data in government,' says Don Moynihan, a professor of public policy at the University of Michigan. 'We really have very little eyes on what's going on. Congress has no ability to really intervene and monitor what's happening because these aren't really accountable public officials.
Wait, having an unelected bureaucracy with zero accountability to the American public is suddenly a problem? You sound like a right-wing extremist!
So this feels like a hostile takeover of the machinery of governments by the richest man in the world.
Cry harder! The audits will continue until morale improves!
And the rest of us have to work our a$$es off to pay taxes, while he sits on his and gets OUR hard-earned money.
Despicable! The whole damn US government!
The leftists have already proven they do not play by any rules.
If they get back in power they will just keep doing what they have already done—put a boot of the face of the public while calling us nasty names.
WHEN did Bill Kristol START getting money from USAID?? He helped RUIN DAN QUAYLE and he DETESTS TRUMP....so WHEN did he start getting OUR TAX MONEY!!
this is yet another example of how badly Dems screwed up.
This wouldn’t have happened had they just let Trump be President.
Now he has a team backing him that is going to root out what they have tried to hide. We need the whiz kids.
Go Get ‘Em, boys.
They're complaining about that as if that's a bad thing.
And the problem with him is??????
To a liberal, government is their church.
To them, this is like bringing in an atheist to replace the priest or preacher.
It’s heresy.......................
They aren’t accessing our data.
They are accessing what government did, so it is government’s data.
Most of the government employees who are writing all the regulations, messing up our lives and our industry, are also whizz kids right out of the school.
We have to follow their orders, and that’s OK, with media?!
It’s not like the deep state/uniparty hacks haven’t already had access to this info on an ongoing basis.
The “other team” has long had the ability to find whatever they want or need to look for regarding anyone’s financial data.
...are also whizz kids right out of the school....
The only job they can get is a government gig?...........
Yep. Just look at the multiple-authors listed on any national news story in the NYTimes. Then click the links to read their bios. Most of them are well short of 30, with an Ivy League degree. Maybe, 1 of the writers is a seasoned vet acting in the familiar role (to the others) as academic advisor for the class project. It’s disgusting. Most of them have barely lived in the real world for any length of time and they’re telling the rest of the world how to think.
How may NYTimes writers does it take to screw in a national news story?
I find it amusing that all of these libs (who have likely never worked in a corporation) are missing the point of what Elon is doing.
I worked in that realm for a while. When you go into a company—before talking to anyone—you do a data dump. The data tells you the story. People tell you “a” narrative. The narrative often lies to you!
For example, I worked in the CATV business. We found that 6% of our installs had been disconnected the day before. So, we just canceled the disconnect trip and did the install. It sounds simple—and it was. But it was a significant departure from what our software system drove. Over 50,000 truck trips at $50 each, we saved 3,000 in the first year. It took an hour of looking at the data and working with the software folks.
He is collecting data. The smart employees know this is going to uncover a bunch of stuff that has been happening since the “beginning of time.” This points in the direction of where things can be cut, reorganized, or streamlined (read automated.)
THAT part of the process is going to make the media, the libs, and the employees SCREAM. The phrase, “We’ve always done it that way” will become their rally cry.
The 2020 steal and all the lawfare since is really biting then in the arse now. They gave Trump four years to plan.
I wonder if those on that team are Elon’s employees.
5 out of the six sound like non-H1-B material.
I thought Americans were retarded and lazy.
Not long ago, “Wired” celebrated people like this, now it’s just a weak woke Popular Science wannabe.
bttt
Data sleuthing can be fun. You find the biggest mark then follow it a little. When you do you see a pattern and start to follow other trails. What you discover can be amazing.
The link to Kristol appears to begin with the large amount from USAID to the Rockefeller foundation and then the 501 tax returns and annual reports of the foundation to Kristol and others. The influence diagram includes many other entities so somebody did a lot of digging and finding fast.
I did a similar thing starting at a couple of curious local and regional influencers and working backward as far as I could with public documents until I ran out of data or interest. When you see something with no visible means of support for their considerable actions you start looking for hidden wires.
Dear @elon, Please see this important letter. We will not tolerate threats against DOGE workers or law-breaking by the disgruntled. All the best. Ed Martin pic.twitter.com/jIgMPVbPT5— Ed Martin (@EagleEdMartin) February 3, 2025
8:00 am, rules for burned scrolls contest announced. 11:01 am, Luke comes back, reads scrolls to judges and asks, “what’s for lunch”……
