Yes, they actually posted this.

The proper response to this, in the spirit of the Prophet Elijah mocking the priests of Baal, goes something like this:

But it's worth reading a few of the more civilized replies:

The email:

A person with common sense might conclude that Christianity Today has a lot less to do with Christ these days and more to do with left-wing talking points from 1985. It's be an insult to spend my time debunking the whole article, but Trump isn't "upending life" for refugees.

He's rounding up criminals like this:

WATCH: Dr. Phil joined Tom Homan to round up illegal immigrants and the first one was a sex offender The roundup of illegals has begun in this country and the numbers are looking great so far. NOTTHEBEE.COM https://notthebee.com/article/we-got-dr-phil-on-the-ground-with-tom-homan-rounding-up-illegal-immigrants And this:

Trump isn't deporting lawful immigrants or people who have been granted refugee status, though he is going to be more selective in who is deemed a "refugee."

Believe it or not (this will come as a shock to the staff of "Christianity" Today), there is nowhere in God's Word where He instructs us to invite MS-13 and Tren de Aragua gangbangers into our communities so they can rape and murder our kids, or set fire to women on the subway, or flip off the news cameras.

God commanded the Israelites to not oppress the foreigner among them, because they themselves had been foreigners in Egypt (Exodus 23:9). But God also had very specific instructions for foreigners. For example, they could not partake in the Passover meal (Exodus 12:48-50) unless they and every male in their household had been circumcised (ouch!). The foreigners who sought to live in Israel had to follow Israel's laws and customs, or else be expelled.

Throughout the Bible, God spends a significant time instructing humans about borders - that is, about what it means for something to be set apart as unique (holy) from other things. Even in Jesus Christ, who has broken down "the wall of hostility" between Jews and Gentiles and between people and God, there is an extraordinary level of exclusion.

Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.

These principles apply in a lesser sense to human organizations and institutions, chief among them nations. In order for a nation to be right and just before God Almighty, it must protect (set apart as unique) its own people, laws, and culture, which means having border laws.

And yet many of the boomer liberals that have taken over Christian publishing want us to believe God demands we have open borders to welcome in everyone on the planet while also facilitating the largest human trafficking pipeline in world history.

To further this narrative, they lie about the current president of the United States as part of a highlighted campaign that excludes many of the good things that Christians should be celebrating right now, including the protection of life and new opportunities to advance the spread of the Gospel.

Speaks volumes, doesn't it?

You and that Texas mother who drowned her children in the bath tub.

article: “Immigrants”

They are illegal invaders.

Words matter—and they can tell the true story.

Yes. The people were offering fetuses and newborns to Molech. There was no justice in the land. The children were being raised to be just as putrid and animalistic as the parents, and the only way to end it was to get rid of those people and start over. Same like God did with the flood. God had to remove those corrupt animals so that He could establish a base for His laws - right thinking - to take hold. From there His Word has been able to spread all over the globe. If He had not done that, we would all still be thinking that we have to get rains by having an orgy that excites Baal and Asherah, and would still be throwing our children into fires to get the favor of “the gods”.

There is a time to kill. All killing is not murder. Murder is when there is bloodguilt. There was no bloodguilt for the people carrying out God’s command to wipe the slate clean in Canaan and start over.

Smells like snake in here.

People with mental illness - or who are being teased by psy ops like MK Ultra - can think God is telling them anything.

That doesn’t mean that God doesn’t tell us anything. He spoke to us in His Word, and there is all kinds of evidence to support the validity of the Word He gave us. Not the least of which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Accusing those who believe the Bible of being the same as a mentilly ill woman is defamatory, and it stinks like Hell. Literally.

Ohhhhkayyyyy. So, when God "told" his people to cut the babies out of their mothers' wombs and bash their heads against rocks that was an act of holiness???

Yes.

BTW, what was the context of that incident that you forgot to mention?

And I’ll also add this. The people of that day were led by fear. For God to make an example out of somebody gave everybody else a good reason to listen. Which was the only way anybody was gonna be saved from their own depravity.

Tearing children out of the mother’s belly isn’t what we do in war any more, but in that day there weren’t any fighter jets. God met the people with language they could understand. And then He taught them something much, much better.

Right now the same people luring illegals here with money are tearing babies out of mothers’ wombs in plain sight for all to see. They are back to Molech worship. But those who hear and believe God’s Word are saved from that animalistic self-governance. Thank God! And we are here to speak God’s Word in the hopes that as many as possible will hear and be saved.

When I was a new Christian in the late 70s, I used CT as a resource. But very quickly it went off the rails, which afforded me important lessons in discernment. I’m still rather disappointed and sad.

Hey! I didn't write the thing.

That's fair, because you never read the 'thing' either.

I’m sad for all the people deceived by it. And sad that some of my fellow parishioners seem to be among them.

You and that Texas mother who drowned her children in the bath tub.

You probably think that's an insult. If people are weak and want to be stronger they go to the gym. If people are ignorant and thirst for knowledge they go to the library. If people are sickly and want to be healthy they go to a doctor or nutritionist.

I am a sinner and do not wish to be so. You should be thankful that I go to Christ's Word for instruction because I could be a lot worse - and that would be bad for everybody. You have no idea how evil I am.

Is like a city broken down, without walls.

Thus...a city DOES need borders according to Almighty God!

sad for all the people deceived by it

In a sense, all those deceived by that ostensibly orthodox magazine were in the same position as were the first-century Jews who allowed themselves to be deceived by the priestly hierarchy.

In those days, your “neighbor” was literally your ethnic kin, not someone from the other side of the world.
