Married to a man who encompasses all of that.
Can confirm its true.
I had to look up sigma male. It seems that he’s just a more successful alpha male. In other words, a new and improved alpha male. All an alpha has to do to become a sigma is become successful. A wildly successful beta behaves like a whinny woman.
I enjoy shooting guns at the range and enjoy shooting my gun in bed, so maybe they are correct.
Actually it’s the women of men who own guns who have even greater sexual satisfaction.
Ask Mrs L how she knows.

Well, I don’t like following sports, but 4 outta 5 ain’t bad!
That’s just common sense.
It’s much easier to have more sex partners when you’re armed.
That’s not at all what a sigma is.
Vox Day coined the term.
Go look up his blog Sigma Game for more.
Agreed. Jim Thompson running HR beats the usual suspects hands down.
Alpha males need people they can dominate. Sigma males are a entirely different breed of cat.
Men with a handshake like a sweaty marshmallow ... 16 years working for a large corporation so I had plenty of handshaking experience.
Well, guns will do that for you, and if you get a woman involved, it is even better.
“Alpha males need people they can dominate. Sigma males are a entirely different breed of cat.”
I’ve always considered myself an alpha male. When a situation develops where a leader is needed, usually in the workplace, I waited until it was obvious no one would step up. Then I took over. If there was a titular manager, who had no clue, then I’d say things like, “Do you think we ought to run an endurance test to determine whether the product has a high failure rate?” They invariably would agree as whatever I suggested was a good path forward. I do not want to lead, but I won’t be part of just foundering around and not succeeding.
I was as successful in my working career as much as management would allow. I have been far more successful since retirement as my present business is my fourth company. Am I a sigma? Maybe. But the vast majority of my male friends are alpha males. We get along great. I don’t feel dominated, nor do I dominate.
The left wing insult that gun ownership is compensation for sexual disfunction was just a taunt. It was never studied. Like wise its cousin that males that object to gays are suffer homosexual panic. We could easily make unflattering judgements about the sex lives of promiscuous liberals.
I like my Barrett M99A1. It makes me feel big and manly.
On top of that, you sound like the perfect kind of leader...one who doesn't want to lead or be a leader but will do so because you feel a sense of obligation to do the right thing.

This eight-minute video might be the best gun video ever.
I’ve found range time to be relaxing. Zeroing in one of those new fangled red dot sights or seeing just how fast I can pull the trigger on a semi auto shot gun with a 20 round drum. Or simply seeing just how good my .308 is over 100 yards. Or figuring out which is more accurate a 55 grain or 62 grain.
The main thing about range time is weapons familiarity. Having some idea how the thing works when it’s needed could be the difference between life and death.
And none of this has anything at all to do with sex. Conservatism, yes, sex, hell no.
Later today I will be experimenting with 12 gauge self defense loads. And there will be no orgasms at all at the range.
“This my weapon, this is my gun . . one is for killing, one is or fun”
Boot camp tune.
