According to Colonel Earl Matthews, who testified before Congress in April, US military leaders revoked President Trump’s Commander-in-Chief powers that day and refused to move in the National Guard.
..... Snip.....
The Daily Mail reported:
Donald Trump’s authority as commander-in-chief was ignored by senior military leadership on January 6, 2021, claims the chief legal advisor for D.C. National Guard on that day.
He claims that Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the time, and then-Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy, were plotting to disobey any orders handed down by Trump because they ‘unreasonably’ assumed the then-president was going to break the law and try to use the D.C. National Guard (DCNG) to stop certification of the 2020 presidential election results.
A lot has been made about the breakdown in military and administration communication when it came to the timeline of deploying DCNG to the Capitol.
But Matthews claims senior military leadership was solely focused on getting the heat off of them and putting it back onto Trump.

That’s what a coup looks like.
Garbage headline. His powers were not revoked as these are constitutionally defined as his. If the generals decided to disobey, that is their choice, but it does not change the fact that the president is the commander-in-chief.
If true, that’s treason.
A true military coup.
Milley should be tried for it and if he is convicted, he should be executed as a deterrent to future leaders of a military coup.
Without question.
Guess the milbrass is unaware that I suspended their authority to do that. See how easy that was?
NOt only was it treason, but it was a military coup.
But no one will really know. Its all overshadowed by the Jan6 Dem Resurrection.
When he gets back in, everyone of them needs to be court martialed and sent to prison.
Defiance of the President *OUGHT* to get them a treason charge, but I think sending them to prison would be a good response.
“ Not only was it treason, but it was a military coup.”
An insurrection, actually
The branch would have to be stout. REAL stout.
>> Colonel Earl Matthews [and] US military leaders revoked President Trump’s Commander-in-Chief powers that day
If true, Colonel Earl Matthews and all the rest of those SOBs need to face a firing squad.
Depends on the definition of "revoke".
The validity of Trump's power was not put an end to as you point out. But his operational power, sure sounds like they were going to disobey, operationally putting an end to Trump's power.
“If the generals decided to disobey, that is their choice, but it does not change the fact that the president is the commander-in-chief.”
Good point. The generals can only disobey; they cannot revoke.
Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the time, and then-Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy should be indicted, tried, convicted, and then sentenced to be publicly hanged for giving aid and comfort to the domestic and foreign enemies of the United States. And their carcasses should be left to rot off the noose.
A military officer should disobey an order that he finds outrageously immoral or illegal. But then that officer must immediately resign. After which speak out as a private citizen.
To disobey an order and just sit in your office is dishonorable. No, it’s more than just that. It’s dishonorable and repugnant.
I think they can disobey an illegal order, not one they think maybe under the right circumstances may become illegal…… anyone know the punishment for Teason?
YES, AN INSURRECTION AS YOU SAY.
But the dem propaganda machine put on thier own for America.
And they have not won yet.
Even though they insurrected them selves and made up an insurrection, our paladin still stands 10 points above Biden the Puppet nationally.
Every time I see “Orange Man Bad” I have to laugh.
I’d say America knows whats going on.
That used to be called mutiny and was punishable by death.
